Assemble the bent end of the control rod (16) into the short leg of the hole pivot bracket, as shown below. - Page 8 Changing The Material Plate Use these instructions only if you are replacing the material plate on the finished unit. Place the finished unit onto a table so that the back of the spreader is easily accessible. Shown below. Locate cotter pin (24) near the assembled material plate (20/23) below the hoper body (17) and remove it.
- Page 9 Changing The Material Plate Remove the pivot rod end (16) by pushing the tip through the hole at the top of the material plate (20/23). Then, remove the material plate and store it for next use. After removing the old material plate, locate the new material plate and reinstall it into the grooves on the bottom of the hopper body (17).
