V-Series models include selectable driver modes that adjust steering feel, brake response, engine sound, Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension and powertrain settings to align with driver preferences, weather or road conditions.
Tour Mode provides a balance of precise handling and a comfortable ride for everyday driving. The vehicle resets to Tour Mode at each ignition cycle, except when CT5-V Driver Mode Selector button in Sport Mode or My Mode,
Sport Mode delivers a more engaging driving experience. When spirited driving is detected, the vehicle will automatically enable Performance Shift features that maintain lower transmission gears to increase available engine braking and improve acceleration response. The vehicle will exit the Performance Shift feature and return to normal operation after a short period when spirited driving is no longer detected.
Track Mode delivers maximum vehicle engagement and performance during the highest level of spirited driving, such as on a closed track. Track mode enables Performance Shift features as described in Sport Mode, Performance Traction Management and Launch Control. (Refer to the Performance Traction Management and Launch Control sections for more information.) Snow/Ice Mode is intended for slippery driving conditions with a unique throttle progression for added traction.
My Mode is intended for personalized everyday driving. Drivers can select their preferences for steering feel, brake response, Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension response and engine sound.
V-Mode is intended for personalized spirited driving, including on closed tracks. Drivers can select their preferences for the same vehicle performance settings available for My Mode, plus additional settings for powertrain and Performance Traction Management. V-Mode settings can be quickly engaged by pushing the V-Mode button on the steering wheel. which remains set across ignition cycles.
The multiple modes available through the Driver Mode Selector change the settings of various vehicle control systems to optimize driving performance. The following chart is an overview of the Driver Mode attributes for each mode.

Competitive Driving Mode is an optional handling mode that allows full engine power while Traction Control does not limit wheel spin, enabling some vehicle slide and drift capability. More effort will be required to turn the steering wheel.
→ Press the Traction Control/StabiliTrak button twice to activate Competitive Driving Mode. The
Traction Control Off and StabiliTrak Off lights will illuminate on the instrument cluster.
→ Press the Traction Control/StabiliTrak button again, or turn off the vehicle, to turn off Competitive Driving Mode.
See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual.
Performance Traction Management (PTM) is an advanced traction, stability and chassis control system accessed while in Track Mode or through V-Mode customization.
To activate PTM while in Track Mode:
To activate PTM through V-Mode customization:
PTM MODES
PTM 1 – WET is for wet or damp conditions. StabiliTrak is on and engine power is reduced based on conditions.
PTM 2 – DRY is for dry conditions. StabiliTrak is on and engine power is slightly reduced.
PTM 3 – SPORT is for dry conditions. StabiliTrak is on and additional engine power is available.
PTM 4 – RACE 1 is for dry conditions. StabiliTrak is off and engine power is the same as PTM 3.
PTM 5 – RACE 2 is for dry conditions. StabiliTrak is off and additional engine power is available for maximum cornering speed.
See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual.
Launch Control is a form of traction control that manages tire spin while launching the vehicle to help achieve high levels of vehicle acceleration in a straight line. It is intended for use during closed course race events where consistent 0-to-60 and quarter-mile times are desired.
Launch Control is automatically activated when the Competitive Driving Mode or any of the PTM modes are activated.
To use Launch Control:
See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual.
Custom Launch Control on V-Series Blackwing models provides the function of Launch Control, but with the added capability to set launch RPM and Tire Slip Targets based on closed-course surface and driver preferences. Custom Launch Control requires that the vehicle be in Track Mode with a PTM mode enabled.
To set the Custom Launch Control parameters:
To use Custom Launch Control, follow the steps in the Launch Control section.
See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual.
Line Lock on V-Series Blackwing models enables the driver on a closed course to lock the front brakes independently of the rear brakes, allowing the rear wheels to spin when throttle is applied to warm the rear tires. To enable Line Lock:
To use Line Lock:
Note: Line Lock is engaged for up to 15 seconds with time remaining shown in the instrument cluster Interactive Information Zone.
To release the brakes and roll out anytime during the Line Lock 15 seconds, press the button (left side of steering wheel) and
thumbwheel (right side of steering wheel) at the same time. If not done within the 15 second limit, engine torque will be reduced to idle, the park brake applied, Line Lock released and Custom Launch Control engaged. Disengage the park brake before repeating the process.

The 12-inch diagonal HD color instrument cluster provides important vehicle information in vibrant color. Each available display theme has preset information that is linked to the selectable Display themes. The information displayed in the Information Tile Zone (B) can be customized using the steering wheel 5-way controller Track Theme and the Interactive Information Zone (A).through the available selections in each menu.
The V-Series instrument cluster features 3 display themes: Tour, Sport and Track. Each theme delivers a different design aesthetic.
Note: Pre-production model shown. Actual production model may vary.
Within each display theme, there is an Information Tile Zone (B) that is left of the speedometer. Up to four information tiles can be selected to be displayed in this area, depending on the display theme selected. To select a display theme, the information shown in the Information Tile Zone (B) as well as other cluster display options:
Simplify Mode simplifies the selected display theme (Tour, Sport or Track) by hiding certain information, including information tiles and interactive zone information, for a cleaner display.
To activate Simplify Mode:
Simplify Mode remains active, even across vehicle ignition cycles, until the steering wheel 5-way controller is used, indicating the driver would like to view additional information/selections.
Stealth/Night Mode is meant for nighttime driving when a low intensity, simplified display is desired.
→ To activate, rotate the interior light control knob, located on the left side of the instrument panel, downward to its lowest-intensity position. Rotate the knob upward to return to the active display theme (Tour, Sport or Track).
See Instruments and Controls in your Owner's Manual.
Note: Pre-production model shown. Actual production model may vary.
The performance front seats include adjustable bolsters to help support and hold the driver and front passenger in place during high-load cornering, while providing comfort for long-distance driving.

Run-flat tires eliminate the need for a spare tire. The tire design enables safe function during and after a loss of pressure for some distance at a moderate speed. Driving only a short distance with a loss of pressure increases the chance that the tire can be repaired. Contact Roadside Assistance for the nearest run-flat tire servicing facility.
Your vehicle may be equipped with high-performance summer-only tires, which have a special tread and compound that are optimized for maximum dry- and wet-road performance. The special tread and compound of the tires will have decreased performance in cold climates and on ice and snow.
Winter or all-season tires are recommended for the vehicle if driving at temperatures below approximately 40°F (5°C) or on ice- and snow-covered roads.
The Tire Status page available on the instrument cluster shows individual tire pressures and overall temperature as either Cold, Cool, Normal, Warm, or Hot. A Normal temperature is typical for normal driving and a Warm temperature is typical for aggressive driving.
See Vehicle Care in your Owner's Manual.
V-Series models are built to be track-capable. For track events and competitive driving, it is recommended that the vehicle be broken in (1,500+ miles), factory brake fluid be replaced with a qualified racing brake fluid and that the brakes are appropriately burnished. A proper wheel alignment for track use and proper tire pressure (refer to the Owner's Manual) will extend tire life.
See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual.
We recommend always using ACDelco or GM Genuine Parts.
