While radio waves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres, microwaves are very short (less than 12.5 centimetres.) Microwaves do not make any heat themselves but cause water molecules in food to vibrate.

  • Page 40 IHRE MIKROWELLE Wie funktionieren Mikrowellen? Mikrowellen sind – ähnlich wie Radiowellen – elektromagnetische Wellen im Hochfrequenzbereich. Radiowellen können zwischen einem Meter und vielen Kilometern lang sein. Mikrowellen dagegen sind sehr kurz (unter 12,5 Zentimeter.) Die Mikrowellen selbst erzeugen keine Hitze.     DIE MIKROWELLE AUSPACKEN Vor Gebrauch Ihres Mikrowellenherdes 1. Packen Sie das Gerät vollständig aus. Entfernen Sie nicht die große Karte an der rechten Garraumwand (siehe nachstehende Abbildung).     INSTALLATION DES MIKROWELLENHERDES Stellen Sie den Herd möglichst weit von Radio- und Fernsehgeräten entfernt auf. Durch den Herd können Empfangsstörungen auftreten. Der Mikrowellenherd muss frei stehen und darf nicht als Einbaugerät oder in einem Schrank betrieben werden. Wählen Sie einen flachen Untergrund, der ausreichend Platz für die Lüfteröffnungen bietet.

    BEDIENFELD GARDAUERREGLER Um die eingestellte Dauer zu erhöhen, drehen Sie den Regler im Uhrzeigersinn. Sie können Ihre Gardauer auf bis zu 30 Minuten einstellen. Der Pfeil am Regler zeigt an, wie viele Minuten Sie eingestellt haben. Jede Markierung am Kreis steht für zwei Minuten. Sobald die Zeit abgelaufen ist, ertönt ein „Ping“-Ton an der Mikrowelle.

    KOCHTIPPS Tipps zum Auftauen Die Mikrowellen durchdringen die meisten Lebensmittel circa 4 cm tief. Um das Auftauen möglichst effektiv zu gestalten, gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1.
