BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Carefully unpack the can opener and remove all packaging materials. Check the contents to ensure that all parts are present, and have been received in good condition.
- Handle the blade bracket with care. The cutting blade is sharp.
- Wash the blade bracket in soapy water before first use. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- The motor base may be wiped with a damp cloth.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- Attach blade bracket to the can opener by aligning the key tabs with the key slots. Push the blade bracket in. (see Fig. 2).

- Press the bracket down to ensure the blade bracket has been properly assembled (see Fig. 3).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Can Opener
- Lift the blade bracket and plug the unit into an electrical outlet.
- Tip the can forward so that its rim is under the locating post and against the drive wheel. Press down the blade bracket and make sure the blade is inside the rim (see Fig. 4).

- The can will rotate and the blade will cut the can lid open. Because of the hands-free feature, it is not necessary to hold blade bracket down or support the can during cutting.
NOTE: In case the total weight of a can is over 21oz, it is necessary to press and hold the can opener to avoid overturning.
Note: The can required to be opened shall be 50mm to 100mm in diameter and 140mm max in height. - When the can is opened, the can opener will stop automatically. To remove the can, hold it with one hand and raise the blade bracket with the other one.

Avoid contact with the cut edges of the can or lids as they are sharp, carefully remove the lid from the magnet and discard.
NOTE: The time of continuously opening cans should not exceed 3 minutes. - The excess cord can be stuffed into cord storage at the back of the unit. Feed the cord through the notch for convenient storage.

The cans opened with this can opener must be less than 21 oz in weight.
Can Opening Tips
- This can opener should not be used to open cans designed to be opened by another method, such as a pull tab, peel-off foil seal, or rolling key. This can opener will not open rimless cans or cans with angled corners.
- If there is a dent in the rim of a can, open the other end or start the cutting action just beyond the dent.
- Cans with heavy seams, uneven rims or odd shapes may cause the can opener to stall. If this occurs, turn the can slightly by hand to aid the cutting action.
- Cans with aluminum lids will not stick to the magnet.
Knife Sharpener
- Before sharpening knives, unplug the power supply from the electric outlet.
- Place the knife intended to be sharpened in the slot of knife sharpener located at the back of the unit.
- For best results, sharpen the entire length carefully to pull the knife through the slot back and forth (see Fig. 5), until desired sharpness achieved.

- After sharpening is completed, wash and dry the knife.
NOTE: Be cautious with knife after sharpening.
NOTE: Carefully route the power supply cord to avoid damage from the knife blades while sharpening.
Knife Sharpening Tips
- Clean and dry knives before sharpening.
- Do not attempt to sharpen serrated blades, as this will smooth their edges.
- Do not attempt to sharpen scissors.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning any part of the can opener, unplug the cord.
- To remove the blade bracket for easy cleaning, lift the blade bracket up and pull it out. The blade assembly can be cleaned with a damp cloth, then wiped with a sponge and dried thoroughly. Reverse the procedure to replace the blade bracket.
- Before replacing the blade bracket, wipe the can opener housing, and area around the drive wheel with a slightly damp cloth or sponge. To remove stubborn spots, wipe surfaces with nylon cloth or mesh pad and sudsy water, following with a clean, damp cloth dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the can opener as they can damage the finish.
- Do not immerse main part of can opener into water as it can give an electric shock.
Note: This item is not dishwasher-safe.

- Do not open pressurized (aerosol-type) cans.
- Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

NOTES ON THE PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
NOTES ON THE CORD
The provided short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Always plug directly into a wall outlet/receptacle.
- A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.
- Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
- If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
- The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally; and
