    ASSEMBLY 1. Install the Front Wheel WARNING: Do not touch the brake rotor, which has sharp edges and can cause serious injury. Touching the brake rotor or brake pads with bare skin can also transfer natural oils to either component, which can decrease braking performance. When installing the front wheel, ensure that you do not touch the brake rotor or pads with bare hands.

    Install the Handlebar REQUIRED 1. Loosen the 2 stem clamp bolts on the stem with 4mm hex wrench. 2 . Turn the Stem forward. 3. Release the 4 screws to remove the handlebarcover. 5mm hex 4. Putthe handlebarin the support position and reinstall the Wrench&Philips handlebars coverand 4 screws.

    2. Install the Fender and Headlight REQUIRED 1.Remove the nut at the top rear of the fork as indicated. Slide the mounting tab on the 5mm hex Wrench & top of fender over the bolt Philips Screwdriver where the nut was previously removed, replace the nut and tighten.

    4. Install the Pedals The pedals are marked “L” for Left and “R” for Right. The left pedal is attached by turning it counter clockwise and the right pedal is tightened by turning it clockwise. Slowly hand tighten the pedals to the crank arms to prevent cross threading or stripping the threads.

    OPERATE 1. How the Electrical System Works Your e-bike is equipped with a Pedal Assist System (PAS), a Throttle and a motor to propel the bike forward. 1.1 How the Pedal Assist System Works Pedal assist uses a cadence sensor built into the drive train of the bike. The cadence sensor detects when the rider revolves the pedals and signals the electric motor to provide the level of pedal assistance (0-5) that the rider has selected.

    Battery Removal Insert the key into the key port. Turn the key clockwise. Remove the battery from the frame. Battery Installation Insert the battery first and press into the frame. Make sure that battery is completely engaged and is sitting flush in the frame 2.5 Battery Maintenance and Safety Charge your battery in a temperature controlled, dry, safe location.

    Protect the battery from water and other moisture at all times. Never submerge your bike or battery in water, or even spray battery with water. Keep riding in the rain to a minimum, no more than 5 minutes per day. DO NOT use this battery with any other vehicle or appliance.

    The rear brake should always be applied before and while the front brake is applied. Applying only the front brake to slow or stop at high speeds may result in the rider being ejected from the saddle and continuing forward over the handlebars. It is best to apply even pressure to both brake levers when slowing or stopping.

    5.3 Tire Inflation and Deflation Never inflate a tire beyond the maximum pressure marked on the tire’s sidewall. Exceeding the recommended pressure may blow the tire off the rim which could cause damage to the bike and serious or fatal injury to the rider and injury to bystanders.

    Cleaning & Care Service You bike needs to be checked and serviced by a qualified bike mechanic with every 100 miles of riding. This is a standard “best practice” for any new bike, as cables will stretch and components will "bed in". The service must include spoke tensioning for both front and rear wheels.
