1.2 DOCUMENT CONVENTIONS The content of the document reflects the general principles of the LX7 POCSAG Monitor. – End–user product package may contain additional elements and options. – Software screenshots are provided here are for information only. The resulting additional operating modes are described below. 5.1 POCSAG MONITOR MODE SWITCHED OFF (OFF) The LX7 POCSAG Monitor operates as a normal annunciator receiver when the POCSAG monitor mode is switched off. Only switching on the POCSAG monitor mode activates the selected additional functions (see POCSAG MONITOR menu).
LX7 POCSAG MONITOR USER GUIDE The basic noise and the field strength of the alarm reception can be easily read off from the curve of the measured field strength in the display. The beginning of an evaluated POCSAG telegram is marked.

5.10 FREE EVALUATION LX7 POCSAG Monitor can also receive alarms sent to RIC addresses that have not been previously entered in the call number list using the programming software. This free evaluation must be activated with the programming software. The free evaluation is then always active, even when the POCSAG monitor mode is switched off.

In POCSAG monitor mode with recording, a logfile is written to the internal memory of the LX7. The internal memory is sufficient for a log file lasting several days. The logfile (in compressed, non-readable format) is read out with the programming soft- ware and stored in a file on hard disk.
