Switch them up as often as you like, then make them your own with the included stickers and crystals. It's even got a beaded lanyard with charms for extra bling, a gentle cleaning cloth to keep the front mirrored display free from smudges, and a full-size charger in – you guessed it – pink! Quick Guide

The Quick Guide included in the HMD Barbie Phone box will walk you through the following steps:

Step 1: Remove the back cover

Step 2: Insert the SIM card
The HMD Barbie Phone requires a physical SIM card to use. If your current device uses an eSIM, or if you're not sure, you should contact your wireless service carrier. If you've got a physical SIM card already, keep going!

Step 3: Insert the memory card¹
A microSD memory card will be useful if you plan to take a lot of photos and want some extra storage capacity, or if you want to download MP3 music files to listen to from your phone. If you don't have a memory card now, just skip this step. You can easily come back to it later.

Step 4: Insert the pink battery

Step 6: Plug it in
Be sure to plug in your phone into a wall outlet with the pink charger that comes in the box. A full charge should last you an entire day with normal usage.²

Step 7: Turn on the phone
Press and hold the power key until the phone turns on. Experience the beautifully familiar 'Hi Barbie!' boot up sound that plays every single time you turn on your HMD Barbie Phone. It's the perfect start to your Barbie journey!

Step 8: Select your settings
Follow the on-screen prompts to select your device and language, set up W-Fi connectivity, location access and review terms and conditions.

Step 9: Welcome to the Barbie Theme UI

Immerse yourself in the world of Barbie with a fully themed user interface, interchangeable wallpapers, pink app icons, and more.

Step 10: Get to know your main menu
Press the center of the Scroll Key to open the menu, then use the scroll key to navigate to the app you want to open. To open, press the button in the center of the Scroll Key. Select Options with the Right Selection Key if any time you'd like to customize the apps that appear on the Main Menu, the order in which they appear, or the view (grid, list or single app).

By default, the first screen of the main menu features the following apps:

Finding balance

Nothing beats spending real time together. That's what the HMD Barbie Phone is all about! No distracting apps here. The real magic happens with our friends and family, not on our screens. Now that your phone is set up, here's what you can do with your HMD Barbie Phone:

Make a call

It's old school! Simply use the keypad to enter the 10-digit phone number you want to dial, then press the center Scroll Key to <Call>. When your call is complete, simply flip the phone shut, or press the Power/End key to end the call. To view the call log, simply select the Phone icon on the main menu.

Send a text

Select the Messages icon on the main menu to open the messaging app. Enter the phone number or select a phone number from your Contacts, then type your text using the numerical (T9) keypad.

TOP TIP
Level up your T9 texting skills! Switch between different modes in the texting field – such as to activate predictive texting, all Caps, numbers, etc. – by pressing the hash key.

Add a contact

Select the Contacts icon on the Main Menu to add your family and friends' names and phone numbers to your contact list. Once saved, you can select Options key to add your contact as a favourite or add to speed dial.

Take a photo or video

The HMD Barbie Phone comes with a retro camera for those cool Y2K shots! Just open the Camera app from the main menu, point and click the center Scroll Key to take a photo! Use the Scroll Key to toggle between camera and video capture modes. And you can select the Options key to manage the Flash and video resolution settings.

Share your photo or video

The memories you capture with your HMD Barbie Phone can be shared via MMS from the Camera app directly or from the Gallery. If you added a microSD to your phone, you can also download photos by connecting the phone to your computer using a USB-C to USB-A or USB-C to USB-C cable (sold separately).

Use the camera flash to light your way

Long press the UP direction on the Scroll Key to turn the builtin flashlight on and off.

Listen to music

Plug your wired headphones (sold separately) into the headphone jack to use the built in FM Radio. When you open the FM Radio app from the main menu, press the center Scroll Key to turn on. You can scan for your local FM radio stations and save your favorites. You may also use the Music app to play MP3 music files from your memory card.

Play Malibu Snake

Relive the nostalgia of the classic Snake game, now with a Barbie twist! Guide a pink snake as it eats watermelons and avoids beach balls in this beach-themed version of the game.

Give your smartphone a vacay
