Install/Replace Battery

NOTICE: Check condition and function of threads, foam washers, springs, and
O-rings. Replace if needed.
1. Remove isolator (1).
2. Unscrew battery cap (2).
3. If replacing, remove used
battery.
4. Check for and correct the
following conditions:
• Dirty or damaged threads.
• Missing, dirty, or worn foam washer (4) on battery cap and in opposite
end of battery chamber.
• Worn or damaged spring (5).
• Damaged or dirty O-ring (3). Clean or replace as needed.
5. Insert one AA battery, positive end first.
6. Install battery cap.
7. Install isolator.
8. Check beacon function. See tracker operator's manual for more information.
IMPORTANT: When flat top on front isolator or front nose cone slot is
at 12 o'clock, tracker should display 3 o'clock roll.
9. Recycle or dispose of used battery properly. See battery manufacturer's
instructions for more information.
IMPORTANT: Always remove battery before long-term storage.
