Equipment Description The SkyNode S200 is available in different factory configurations indicated by part number suffix “S200-XXX”, where “X” defines features ranging from basic tracking, data and voice interfaces, to additional audio communications support, including 2-wire POTS phone, and ARINC-429 data bus interfaces.

The S200-XXX has 3 sets of RS-232 lines for communication. The main RS-232 port is ‘PC’, the DB9 9-pin serial port on the front of the device; this port outputs all the debug information and can also be used with Latitude API devices. This is also the port used for upgrading the S200’s firmware.
There is an auxiliary RS-232 port available on the J100 connector; with select firmware versions, this is can be also be used to output debug data or communicate with Latitude API devices, but not for upgrading firmware. Port settings are the same as for ‘PC’.
