OVERVIEW ADJUSTING VOLUME After powering on the keyboard, adjust the volume settings as preferred. Use the [VOLUME </>] buttons to adjust the main volume of the keyboard. The screen will display the “MAIN” volume meter as adjustments are made. Use the [MUSIC VOLUME </>] buttons to adjust the volume of the styles (rhythms), songs and the metronome.
SOUND MODE PLAYING A SOUND Press the [SOUND] button to enter Sound mode. The “SOUND” indicator will light up on the screen and the current sound number will be displayed. Choose from 450 sounds using the < and > buttons to scroll through sounds, or by pressing and holding the [NUMBER] button and using the number keypad.
FUNCTIONS SUSTAIN EFFECT Press the [SUSTAIN] button to activate the sustain function. The “SUSTAIN” indicator will light up on the screen. This effect allows notes to ring out a little longer after you have released the key – this is particularly useful if playing without a sustain pedal connected to the keyboard.
STYLE (RHYTHM) MODE In Style mode, the K-2 keyboard allows you to play chords with your left hand and add a wide range of auto accompaniments to you expand your performances. STYLE (RHYTHM) ACCOMPANIMENT Press the [STYLE] button to enter Style (Rhythm) mode.

PLAYING DIFFERENT STYLE SECTIONS To add variety and dynamics to your performances, the K-2 keyboard includes various style sections: Intro/Ending, Main Sections A & B, Fill Patterns A & B and volume fades. INTRO/ENDING SECTIONS Use the intro sections to help set the tone of your performances and the ending sections for an ideal way of bringing performances to a close.

FADE IN/OUT Add further expression to the accompaniment during your performances by using the Fade feature. FADE IN Press the [FADE] button before playing a style (rhythm) and the screen will briefly display “Fad In” with the volume meter dropping to zero. LISTENING AND LEARNING SONGS The K-2 features 120 in-built songs covering a wide variety of genres. LISTENING TO SONGS Press the [SONG] button to enter Song mode. RECORDING AND PLAYBACK The K-2 keyboard allows you to record and play back your performance. RECORDING PERFORMANCES Press the [RECORD] button to activate the recording function. The “RECORD” indicator will light up on the screen and the beat counter will flash, indicating that the keyboard is ready to record.
SPEAKER MODE SPEAKER MODE DISPLAY Boost The K-2 keyboard includes a Speaker Mode feature that enhances performing and listening experiences through different EQ presets. Desktop Choose from three speakers settings: Boost, Desktop and Normal. Normal Press the [SPEAKER MODE] button to switch between speaker settings.
FUNCTION SETTINGS Access the various function settings of the K-2 keyboard and adjust to suit your preferences. Press and hold the [FUNCTION] button followed by the corresponding keyboard key, as indicated in the Function Settings Key Map. Use the [<] and [>] buttons to change the selected parameter or option.
