    POWER The keyboard can be powered using the included power supply, or with 6 x AA batteries (not included.) Please pay attention to the correct polarity indicators when installing batteries and change them as soon as they get low. Remove the batteries if the instrument will not be used for a long period.

    CONNECTIONS CONNECTING AN MP3/CD PLAYER The rear-panel AUX IN jack receives audio signals from an external audio source such as an MP3 or a CD player. Use an audio cable to connect the AUX IN jack of the instrument to the OUTPUT jack of the MP3/CD player.

    POWER SWITCH Before switching on the instrument, ensure the volume is set to minimum and connect any external audio equipment. Make sure the instrument is properly connected to the power supply. Press the power switch. The display will light up and “Loading!”...

    SOUNDS SOUNDS SOUNDS SELECTING A SOUND The keyboard has 480 different sounds (refer to sound list appendix on p.22 for details). Press the SOUND [SOUND] button to enter the sound mode. The SOUNDS SOUND display will show “SOUND R1” plus the current sound name and number.

    SOUND SUSTAIN SPLIT SOUND EFFECTS TOUCH The touch response feature dynamically controls SOUND SOUND the level of the keyboard’s response, allowing you to find the ideal level of key response to suit your playing style. To adjust the level of touch response, please refer to the function menu.

    TRANSPOSE TRANSPOSE Pressing the [˅] and [˄] buttons simultaneously will return the transpose value to its default setting: “000 Transpos” OCTAVE This function allows you to raise or lower the pitch of the keyboard by an octave, and can be accessed through the function menu.

    AUTO ACCOMPANIMENT The auto accompaniment feature puts a whole backing band at your fingertips. In this mode, all you have to do is play the chords with your left hand and the accompaniment will automatically play along in the style selected, instantly following the chords you play.

    TEMPO Each rhythm style has been set with a default TEMPO tempo. This can be changed using the TEMPO [˅]/ [˄] buttons as required. Press the TEMPO [˅]/[˄] buttons simultaneously to restore the current style’s default tempo setting.     METRONOME METRO TEMPO Press the [METRO] button to start and stop the metronome and adjust as required with the TEMPO [˅] and [˄] buttons. Different time signatures can be set in the function menu. FUNCTION Press the [FUNCTION] button to enter the function FUNCTION menu.

    MEMORY The keyboard is equipped with 4 memory banks, BANK with each bank containing 4 memory options, M1- M4, allowing you to save your preferred sounds and settings.     PLAYING SONGS The keyboard has 140 in-built songs (refer to song SONGS list appendix.) SONGS To listen to the songs, press the [SONGS] button to enter the song mode. All songs will play in a loop. Press the [SONGS] button again to stop playback. The number keypad and [˅] and [˄] buttons can be used to select songs.

    RECORDING & PLAYBACK The keyboard allows you to record and playback PLAY RECORD your performances. To do this, press the [RECORD] button. The record indicator will appear on the display. SOUND Either play the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button to start recording. To record the keyboard’s accompaniment, turn on the Fingered Bass Chord PLAY function.
