    • The battery is fully charged after approx. 2 hours. • A fully charged battery will last for approx. 1,000 exposures. • The battery charging status is displayed in the Leica LUX app if the LUX Grip is connected with the app.

    SETUP FOR LEFT-HANDED USE The LUX Grip can be set up for left- or right-handed use. The LUX Grip is preset ex works for right-handed use. To loosen the mounting screws on the MagSafe contact, you require a Torx T8 screwdriver (not included in the scope of delivery).

    ATTACHMENT TO YOUR SMARTPHONE The LUX Grip was designed for use with Apple iPhones. The LUX Grip can be magnetically attached to an iPhone. You can attach the LUX Grip to your iPhone in landscape or portrait format. Note • The LUX Grip can be attached to all MagSafe-compatible iPhones or iPhones with a MagSafe case.

    INSTALLING THE LEICA LUX APP Install the Leica LUX app on your iPhone. You can use the QR code below to find the Leica LUX app in the App Store. Notes • The LUX Grip only works in conjunction with the Leica LUX app. The pre-in- stalled iPhone camera app cannot be operated with the LUX Grip.

    • Serial number: You will find this on the underside of the LUX Grip and on the packaging. →Proceed with product registration. →Log in with an existing Leica account or create a new Leica account. • The LUX Grip is added to your Leica account. →Enter the date of purchase.

    • Scan the generated QR Code or select Notes • Leica LUX PRO can be activated for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase in your Leica account. • The voucher code is valid for a period of 6 months from activation.

    CONNECTING WITH THE LEICA LUX APP CONNECTING FOR THE FIRST TIME (PAIRING) To use your LUX Grip in conjunction with the Leica LUX App, you must first pair the LUX Grip with your iPhone. Use the Leica LUX app to perform pairing.

    • The LUX Grip switches on and automatically connects with the Leica LUX app. • The status LED illuminates green continuously for 5 seconds. • The LUX Grip is displayed in the Leica LUX app and can now be used with the app.

    Press down fully/full press – Shutter release. Press and hold for at least 1.5 seconds – The LUX Grip switches on and automatically connects with the Leica LUX app. Note • To avoid shaking, press the shutter button smoothly and not roughly.

    SETTINGS FIRMWARE UPDATES A red dot displayed next to the symbol for the LUX Grip in the Leica LUX app indicates that a new firmware update is available for the LUX Grip. Install the firmware update as described below. →Open the Leica LUX app on your iPhone.
