Description
This document includes installation information for the
Carrier Fire & Security LC1502 2-loop expansion board. The
LC1502 is designed for use with 1200-2000 series panels and
supports the Aritech 900 and 2000 protocols.
Installation
Caution:
For general guidelines on system planning, design,
installation, commissioning, use and maintenance, refer to the
EN 54:14 standard and local regulations.
WARNING:
The panel will automatically reconfigure and all
site data will be lost when an additional LC1502 is installed.
Backup all site data before installing the board.
1.
Disconnect all power (mains and batteries).
2.
Remove the SD2000 or VDS2000 common I/O board from
the rear panel bus (if fitted).

3.
Set the jumpers (Figure 1, item 1) to the desired option (A
for a Class A loop configuration or B for Class B).

4.
Insert the LC1502 into the rear bus.
5.
Replace the SD2000 or VDS2000 common I/O board.
6.
Refer to the Installation and Commissioning manual for
the connection of the loops.
7.
Reconnect the power and follow the instructions on the
LCD display of the panel.
Maintenance
Basic maintenance is reduced to a yearly inspection. Do not
modify internal wiring or circuitry.
