Pre-disassembly Instructions Do the following prior to starting any maintenance procedures: 1. Place the system on a stable work surface. 2. Remove the power adapter from the DC-IN jack (A) or USB Type-C ports (B and C) as shown in Figure 1-1.

RTC Battery Removal Prerequisite: Battery Pack Removal 1. Using plastic tweezers, carefully pry to detach the adhesive tape underneath the RTC battery (A) but DO NOT remove yet (Figure 1-25). 2. Disconnect the RTC battery cable from the mainboard connector (B) (Figure 1-25).
