  • Page 3 INSTALLATION 1 - Select a location which is not to close to the pump (to avoid the float pulling towards it). Since the float drops in through the hole you're about to cut - the position does not need to be next to the tank opening. 2 - Measure the height of your tank, at the point where you will install the gauge.
  • Page 4 INSTALLATION 3 - Time to adjust the string length. Lay out tank gauge on the ground like shown. Untie the knot at the indicator and float. The counterweight should be against the main gauge body like shown. Pull the float and indicator to the correct length as shown.
  • Page 5 INSTALLATION 6 - Select how you would like to install the gauge on your tank A - If the tank is domed, this is the best option for installing the gauge. This method is also suitable for angled straight tank tops (like shown in image B). B - For angled tops where there is no dome in the top, you may install as shown in A or B.
  • Page 6 INSTALLATION 8 - Then, bend down the arms as shown, so that the bracket sits horizontally on the tank. 9 - Position the foot on the ground, and the tank gauge on the tank. Measure the distance between the fittings where the guide post will sit, and cut the guide post to suit.
  • Page 7 INSTALLATION 10 - Secure the foot to the ground, using the appropriate fasteners for the surface. Ensure the pole will sit vertically. 11 - Insert the pole into position. The pole will be held in position by the gauge and the mounting foot. 12 - Check the string length by pulling the indicator all the way down and up again.

    Maintenance No maintenance is expected. If the indicator becomes stuck, simply give it a jiggle to release it. If you find there is a build up around the pulleys caused by pests, it can be brushed out from the underside by removing the gauge from the tank.
