Please Note:
This is a recreational power distribution unit and not a jump starter. Do not attempt to jump start any
vehicle with the unit as this will void warranty. The Nomad PDU V6HD series comes with a 3-year
manufacturer's warranty under normal use and 12 months warranty on the AC/DC Charger.
Battery and BMS are set to provide up 100% DOD – with voltage range Lifepo4 Prismatic 14.6 v – 10v.
Approximately 3,000 cycles – dependant on type of use. Cycles are an estimation only and not a guarantee
or part of the warranty. When you turn on the unit it will take about 5 seconds for the screen to come on.
WARNING!! WARNING!!
The V6HD series accept a regulated charge only of up to 50amp – you must use a suitable charger with
Lifepo4 profile and if you are installing in a vehicle.
The DCDC charger must have a Lithium Lifepo4 profile 14.6v.
Do Not use this unit if you do not read the instructions. Failure to follow instructions, adhere to ratings and
loads will void warranty, including ignoring the do not do list below.
To protect the unit and ensure you do not void the warranty, please read the below.
If installing into a vehicle, make sure the unit is well ventilated to avoid excessive heat build-up or
exposure to elements. Only ever charge from the Nomad Inputs Red circled area.
YOU MUST NOT DIRECTLY CONNECT TO ALTERNATOR OR CRANK BATTERY WITHOUT A SUITABLE DCDC
CHARGER, this will damage the unit.
Do Not use the PDU to jump start a vehicle (Do Not) - this could cause fire or swelling of the battery as it
is not designed for this purpose, it is clear if this has been done.
• Do Not Direct connect to alternator or vehicle battery without a suitable DCDC or regulator (lifepo4)
• Do Not submerse in water and do not run-in series or parallel
• Do Not attempt to modify the product without express permission from manufacturer.
• Do Not use fuses rated higher than recommended in charging options and accessories.
• Do Not drill holes into the casing as you may drill into the battery chemistry.
• Do Not charge unit at any higher rate than advised – Regulated – 50amp max.
• Do Not Charge with an unregulated source such as an unregulated solar panel (must have a regulator).
• Do not try and use DCDC chargers exceeding 50amp, we have optional Lithium specific DCDC chargers
available in 10 or 20amp options.

When the charger is removed, the voltage will drop to about 13.3 and stay above 12.8 for the cycle. This is normal characteristics of the Lifepo4 Chemistry.
