Installation instructions for Carplay interface
Harman Kardon
The interface is connected via a connecting cable with
sockets. It is estimated that it takes about 30 minutes of
work to connect the interface. No programming required. There is enough
space behind the display to install the interface. The interface uses the existing
microphone.
Tools Needed
Torx screwdriver (20), auxiliary tools
Step 1. Turn off the ignition
By turning off the ignition, there is no more power on the radio and the cables
can be safely disconnected and connected.
Step 2. Remove the trim strip from the display (unclip)
Using an auxiliary tool (spatula), carefully unclip the panel. To do this, start at
the top right of the clip and work your way counterclockwise via the two push
clips at the top to the top left of the screen. Then click out the two clips at the
top of the display. Use the space created to now pop off the bottom four clips
one by one. For the bottom two clips, protect the dashboard with tape or fabric
to be able to apply some force without damaging anything.
