Arcing is the rnicrowave
If yousee arcing,press
term tor sparks in the oven.
Arcing is caused by
• The temperature probe
in the microwave but not
inserted in the food.
• The metal shelf not
installed correctly so it
touches the nlicrowave
wall.
• Metal or foil touching tile
side ot the oven.
• Foil not molded to tood
(upturned edges act like
alltellnas).
• Metal, such as twist-ties,
poult D pins, or gold-
rimmed dishes, in the
Illicrowave,
• Recycled paper towels
containing small metal
pieces being used in the
microwave,
• Do not pop popcorn in
your nlicrowave ovell
unless in a special
microwave popcorn
accessory or unless you
use popcorn labeled tor
use ill microwave ovens.
• Some products such as
whole eggs and sealed
containers-tor example,
closed jars will explode
and should not be heated
in this microwave oven.
Such use of the microwave
oven could result in i_jm)'.
• I)o ilot boil eggs in a
microwave ovell. Pressure
will build up inside egg
yolk and will cause it to
burst, possibly resulting
in injury.
