Charcoal Filter
on some models,
The vent fan has 2 metal
reusaMe grease filters.
Models that recirculate air
back into ttle room also use
a charcoal filter.
Reusable Grease Filters
(on all models)
The metal filters trap
grease released b? foods on
the cooktop. They also
prevent flames fi'om foods
oil the cooktop f_'om
damaging tile inside of tile
microwave.
For this reason, tile filters
must AEWAYS be in place
when the hood is used.
The grease filters should
be cleaned once a month,
or as needed.
To remove, slide it to the
rear using tile tab. l'ull it
down and out.
To clean the grease filter,
soak it and then swish it
around in hot water and
detergent, l)on't use
anll-nollia or anll-noilia
products because they will
darken the metal.
Light brushing can be used
to remove embedded dirt.
Rinse, shake and let it (h)-
before replacing.
To replace, slide the filter
in the t_'ame slot oil the
back of the () 3enin,c_'ii . .. [:'till
tip and to the t_'ont to lock
into place.
