The VIP-NET line of network switches are all either L2+ or L3 switches depending on the model, and support CAT and Fiber transport. You may use the VPX COMMANDER with other network switches that are 1G, and support IGMP V2, Fast Leave, and Jumbo Frame. -

The VPX COMMANDER supports standard category RJ45 connectivity. It is recommended to use CAT5 cabling to ensure best performance. Video The VPX COMMANDER provides HDMI output to a standard computer monitor that supports up to 1920x1080P60. The VPX Commander provides Q.4 USB 2.0 ports. -
