965.1 TALKING DUAL DISPLAY ALARM CLOCK
INSTRUCTION MANUAL (YL-888CS)
Getting started.
Insert batteries. Remove the battery door and fit 2 x AA batteries observing
the polarity (+/-) signs. Replace the battery door. Please read the section
under battery information.
Press the "RESET" key by using a long thin object (i.e. straighten wire paper
clip) and press the reset key gently. This will clear any old settings.
Press the large top button to check that the talking function is working.
Please note that the talking function will only speak the time shown on the
digital display. Normally you would set the digital time and the hands to the
same time, but you may prefer to use the two times to show different time
zones.
Now proceed to set the time as follows:
To set the digital time.
Insert batteries. Remove the battery door and fit 2 x AA batteries observing

Press "SET" repeatedly until numbers flash and 2 dots remain constant. (Note:
will return to non-set mode if no button pressed for 10 seconds)
Press "HR" to move hours forward until correct hour displayed (check for AM
or PM).
Press "MIN" to move minutes forward until correct minutes are displayed.
Wait until the digits stop flashing (takes about 10 seconds). The time is now
set.
Press the large top button and the digital time will be spoken.
To set the alarm time.
Press "SET" repeatedly until numbers flash and "AL" is shown on the display
Press "HR" to move hours forward until correct alarm hour displayed (check
for AM or PM)
