LED Dual Mode Type A/B T8 Tubes
Operation on 120-277V AC Mains (UL Type B):
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK: LED Retrofit Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaire electrical systems. If not qualified, do
not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician. Install this kit only in luminaries that have the construction features and dimensions
shown in the drawings. Input ratings may need to be determined based on any configuration(s) permitted by the installation instructions.
Regardless of the configuration(s) of the retrofit kit, the input ratings of the overall retrofit kit shall not exceed the marked input ratings of
the host luminaire. To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects. Installers
should not disconnect existing wires from lampholder terminals to make new connections at lampholder terminals. Instead installers
should cut existing lampholder leads away from the lampholder and make new electrical connections to the lampholder lead wires by
employing applicable connectors (or replace with new lamp holders). THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND
THE HAZARDS INVOLVED. THE RETROFIT KIT IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT OF A LUMINAIRE WHERE THE SUITABILITY OF THE
COMBINATION SHALL BE DETERMINED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION. PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED
ELECTRICIAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE AND APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL CODES. THE INSTALLATION GUIDE DOES
NOT SUPERSEDE LOCAL OR NATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS. Do not make or alter any open holes in
an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation. Installers should examine all parts that are not intended to be
replaced by the retrofit kit for damage and replace any damaged parts prior to installation of the retrofit kit. This lamp operates directly
from 120V-277V mains. Do not use Ballast or any starting aid. Do not connect to a voltage higher than 277 volts. To reduce risk of
misapplication, Current recommends installing a fuse in series with the Phase or Hot lead per the wiring diagrams below. Ensure the lamp
holders are SHUNTED for Double Ended T8 applications. Prior to installation, review all environmental designation locations in the retrofit
kit installation instructions. Only install in damp locations if so indicated in the installation instructions. Suitable for damp locations.
To protect against future misapplication, Current recommends installing an in-line fuse: Type 2AG, rated at 1 amp, 350 volts, Littlefuse part number
0209001 MXP or equivalent. Available through Current, BT8-1AFUSEKIT. This device is not evaluated for use with emergency exits.
Installation Instructions for Operation on 120-277V AC Mains
1) Ensure power is
off to luminaire by
disconnecting the
supply voltage.
If lamp holders are shunted, follow instructions for double-ended wiring.
If lamp holders are not shunted, single-ended or double-ended wiring may be used.

wires should be wired or shunted together.
4) Connect the recommended fuse and fuseholder (not supplied) to the
black (hot) wire from the mains.
5) Connect together all of the lamp holder leads on one side and con-
nect to the other side of the recommended fuse with suitable wire.
6) Connect together all of the lamp holder leads on the other side of the
fixture and connect to the white or neutral wire from the mains.
7) Replace the ballast / wiring area cover, ensuring no wires are pinched
between the cover and the fixture.

8) Install the retrofit kit Caution
label in an easy to see location
and mark accordingly to ensure
the user understands the lamps
now operate on mains voltage,
and the use of fluorescent lamps
may result in damage or injury.
This lamp is designed for general lighting service. This lamp may not be suitable for use in all applications where a conventional fluorescent lamp has been used.
