This item should be assembled on a soft surface to prevent scratching the finish during assembly.

This item may require periodic tightening.
1. Attach Base (G) Pull the wire from Middle Tube III (F) through Base (G) and attach Middle Tube III (F) to
Base (G). See Illustration
2. Attach Middle Tube II (D) Pull the wire from Middle Tube II (E) through Middle Tube III (F) and Base (G).

3. Attach Middle Tube I (D) Pull the wire from Middle Tube I (D) through Middle Tubes II, III (E, F) and Base
(G) and attach Middle Tube I (D) to Middle Tube II (E). See Illustration.
4. Attach Socket Assembly (C) Pull the wire from Socket Assembly (C) through the Middle Tubes I, II, III (D,
E, F) and Base (G) and attach Socket Assembly (C) to Middle Tube I (D). See Illustration.
5. Attach Shade (A) Remove the Ring (B) from Socket Assembly (C). Place Shade (A) onto Socket Assembly
(C) and secure with the Ring (B). See Illustration.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This portable lamp has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature this plug will fit in a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted, do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
