USING YOUR HAIR DRYER
After washing your hair, it's really important to prepare it for styling. If you use lots of heated
styling tools on your hair, try and use a heat protection spray before you begin styling.
Always dry the excess water from your hair using a towel, then use a wide tooth comb to
detangle and smooth your hair.
To begin drying, remove the nozzle from your dryer and blast your hair with the dryer on the
highest speed setting until your hair is 50% dry – there is no point trying to style your hair
until it is almost dry. As your hair begins to dry, switch off your dryer and attach the
concentrator nozzle. Use the sectioning clips to split the hair into manageable sections –
this will ensure that each section is thoroughly dried and styled, as leaving moisture in the
hair can cause frizz. Using the nozzle helps to direct the airflow and will give your hair a
sleek and smooth finish. If you are blow-drying curly hair into a straight style, use the nozzle
to direct air down the shaft of the hair. If you want to create volume instead, tip your head
upside down and use your fingers to comb your hair through as you dry it.
As your hair dries, use the dryer on a slower speed setting so as not to blow your style out
of place. When you have achieved the style you want and your hair is thoroughly dry, press
and hold the 'Cool Shot' button for a blast of cold air to set your style in place. For hints
and tips on creating funky new styles, have a look at the style guide enclosed.
DON'T FORGET – to switch off your hair dryer and store it when you have finished drying!
If you want to store your hair dryer in the gift box, always make sure the hair dryer has
cooled down, and never wrap the cable around the product, as this can cause damage.

CLEANING THE FILTER
The air filter ensures that only clean air is used to dry your hair. To remove the air filter,
make sure your hair dryer is unplugged from the mains supply, and clip off the rear cover to
reveal the air filter. To do this, hold the body of the dryer firmly, and pull the cover to release
the filter. Take out the filter to clean away hair and lint using a vacuum cleaner. Ensure the
filter is completely dry before refitting. To refit, locate the air filter into the filter cover and
click back into place.
WIRING
This product is fitted with a 13 amp (BS1363) plug. A 13 amp fuse (BS1362) must be used.

electricity supply, which must be AC (alternating current). If the socket outlets in your home are not
suitable for the plug supplied with this appliance, the plug should be removed and the appropriate
one fitted.
WARNING: The plug removed from the mains lead, if severed, must be destroyed as a
plug with bared flexible cord is hazardous if engaged into a live socket outlet.

around the appliance as this can cause damage.
