    Motors may be suitable for inverter operation between 25 and 60 Hz, although derating of the flameproof  classification may apply. Refer to manufacturers’ instructions or Edwards for more details. For details of the electrical specification of the motor refer to the nameplate.

    CDX pump is part of an ATEX system, refer to the ATEX System Instruction Manual before you make any of the electrical connections.   • Page 5 The pump motor can be started either Direct On- Line (DOL, see Figure 1) or through a suitable inverter, as described below. If required, contact your supplier or Edwards for advice on starting. 5.1.2 Direct on-line (DOL) starting with variable overload Your system must incorporate a programmable variable overload relay to allow for the high current drawn (over a prolonged period) during DOL starting, and to provide overload protection under normal pump operating conditions.
  • Page 6 3. Connect the wires in the control cable to the thermistor output terminals in the terminal box: refer to the motor manual supplied with your pump. 4.
