Network Switch mode connection Go to [Network] and then the [Connections] tab; enter the chosen IP address for this device and the netmask. Enter the default gateway for the chosen subnet in the field below. The two RJ45 ports are interconnected in switch mode via the Ethernet and respond to the same IP address as the device – this address corresponds to the same single ETH0 logical interface and the same MAC address.
  • Page 7: Dual Network Mode Connection

Dual network mode connection The two ports are NOT logically interconnected; each corresponds to a different Ethernet interface: ETH0 and ETH1, respectively, and therefore to a different subnet. From the [Network] window under the [Connections] tab, the IP address, netmask and gateway must be entered for the two interfaces. An IP video-entry terminal connected to the subnetwork of Port 0 (ETH0) can make/receive video calls to/from an IP device connected to the subnetwork of Port 1 (e.g IP terminals in an apartment, ETI/SER with porters and ETI/XIP in an apartment block network).
