  • Page 19: Video Entry System

Video entry system In a system with one ETI/SER XIP and several ETI-XIP gateways, the ETI/SER XIP must be the master and will be the first to be programmed. Device mode Under [Video entry system] in the [Device mode] tab, choose a communication port through which slaves will communicate with the ETI/SER XIP Master (permitted range: 20050-20166).
  • Page 20 Maintenance Diagnosis Once all slaves in the system have been added, one of them (the one with the [Backup] box flagged) can be set to back up the ETI/SER XIP master continuously. Assign a port (20050 to 20166). If the ETI/SER XIP master fails, it will be replaced by the ETI-XIP slave with backup flagged, and the remaining slaves will communicate with it via the assigned port.

  • Page 26: Introduction To Call Flow Programming

Introduction to call flow programming With correct programming, calls can be forwarded to recipients other than the internal receiver called (generally to a porter), or diverted to other recipients if the intended recipient is absent or unable to answer; these call flows can be further customised to follow different patterns at set times or on set days of the week. Non-standard programming is also possible for special days of the year.

  • Page 36 By default, calls from any of the entry panels are routed directly to the programmed recipient via PCS/XIP. Therefore, the system must be programmed so that calls destined for any of the internal receivers are intercepted and forwarded to the porter. In this example, there is only one porter, so calls cannot be diverted to other porters.
