INSTRUCTION MANUAL GENERAL SAFETY RULES Before you put the machine into operation, you must read this instruction manual. When using this machine, observe the following safety instructions to exclude the risk of personal injury or material damage. Please also observe the special safety instructions in the respective chapters. 8. To help avoid metal blade or nylon line contact or a thrown object injury, stay in operator zone behind handles and keep children, bystanders, helpers and pets at least fifteen metres from the brush cutter while it is in operation. Stop machine if anyone enters area. 9.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL SLOPE OPERATION Slopes are a major factor related to slip and fall accidents, which can result in severe injury. Operation on slopes requires extra caution. If you feel uneasy on a slope, or it is greater than 15 degrees, do not trim on it. 1.
General Service: 1. Never run an engine indoors or in a poorly ventilated area. Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, an odorless and deadly gas. 2. Before cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, make certain all moving parts have stopped. Disconnect the spark plug cap and ground against the engine to prevent unintended starting. 3.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL SET UP & PREPARATION FOR OPERATION This product must be assembled correctly before use. Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the carton. Inspect the product carefully to make sure there are no breakages or missing items during shipping. Do not discard the packing material and carton until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the product.

FITTING GUARD/SHIELD 1. Install the safety cover onto the shaft with the safety cover bracket. 2. Align the four screws of the cover with the safety cover bracket. 3. Tighten the screws after setting the safety cover bracket at the appropriate position. NYLON LINE SPOOL 1.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL 3. Place the Nylon Line Spool onto the threaded shaft, rotating clockwise and ensure fully tightened. 4. Remove tool from the rotating adapter. REPLACING YOUR NYLON LINE 1. Cut three metres of 2.5mm diameter Nylon Line. 2. Feed the line in through the first eyelet and out of the second eyelet. 3.

Stop the engine immediately, check the blade installation and re-install correctly. An incorrectly installed blade can cause injury. LOOP HANDLE (WEBC26 ONLY) 1. Place the leg guard on the underside of the shaft, using the black collar already fitted. Ensure the leg guard is located on the left, if looking from the engine.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL SHOULDER HARNESS 1. The shoulder harness eyelet is fitted to the shaft at the factory. 2. Push the leg of the shoulder harness clasp and then slot it through the eyelet and release to secure. 3. Adjust the Harness, ensuring it is comfortable, but tight enough to allow you to operate appropriately.
PRE-OPERATION FUEL & OIL WARNING YOUR MACHINE IS SUPPLIED WITHOUT ENGINE OIL OR E10 UNLEADED PETROL Operating an engine with insufficient oil can have catastrophic consequences. Any failure caused by insufficient oil will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Read instructions carefully.

STARTING THE ENGINE - WARM Move the stop/start switch to the ‘START’ position. • • Place the choke lever to the open position (excessive cranking with choke lever closed will cause the engine to flood, making it difficult to start). Pull the recoil starter handle until the engine starts.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL OPERATION USING YOUR BRUSHCUTTER Be sure the working area is clear of stones, sticks, wire, or other objects which could damage the brush cutter. Such objects could be accidentally thrown by the spool and nylon line in any direction and cause serious personal injury to the operator and others.
