The WMS actuator 24 V UP makes it possible to simply
retrofit a 24 V DC drive with a wireless remote control. Its
compact design enables flush mounting in junction boxes.
The WMS Actuator 24 V UP functionality can be set. The
control behaviour can be adjusted to the various require-
ments of the different products.
The WMS Actuator 24 V UP can receive move commands
from WMS transmitters, e.g. a WMS Hand-held transmitter,
WMS Central transmitter or WMS Weather station. It con-
firms that it received the commands and the transmitters
indicate that they received the confirmation.
The positions for the comfort and scene control and the
parameters for the control functions are saved directly in
the actuator and can be recalled at any time.
Intended use
The WMS Actuator 24 V UP was developed to control
sun shading systems and window drives. Any use other
than the purpose described in these instructions requires
approval from the manufacturer.
Safety instructions
W ARNING
The electrical installation (assembly)/dis-
mantling must be performed by a certified
electrician in accordance with VDE 0100
or the legal requirements and standards
of the country in which the device is being
installed. The electrician must observe the
installation instructions included with the
supplied electrical devices.

W ARNING
If hazard-free operation cannot be
assumed, the device may not be started or
must be deactivated. This assumption is
justified if
 the housing or the connecting lines show
signs of damage
 the device is no longer working.
W ARNING
Switch off the operating voltage of the WMS
Actuator 24 V UP when performing activi-
ties on the connected products. Danger due
to sudden movements.
C AUTION
Never randomly press the buttons on your
transmitter without having a line of sight to
the sun shading system. Children must not
play with this product – keep remote controls
and transmitters out of the reach of children!
Due to both legal regulations for radio systems and struc-
tural factors, the operating range of radio remote controls
is limited. Adequate radio reception must be ensured when
planning the project. This is especially the case where the
radio signal must pass through walls and ceilings. The
control unit should not be installed in the immediate vicinity
of metal components (steel beams, reinforced concrete,
fire doors).
The WMS Actuator 24 V UP may only be used to control
such window drives where the movement of the window
cannot cause any injuries.
These windows include (partial list) according to DIN EN
60335-2-103:
► Windows with moving parts located at least 2.5 m
above the floor or other access levels.
► Windows with drives equipped with an external or inter-
nal entrapment protection system.
► Windows with an opening speed that does not exceed
50 mm/s when moving between 15 mm and 50 mm
away from the closed position, with a maximum open-
ing width of 200 mm and with a closing speed that
does not exceed 15 mm/s.
