Updating an existing PLC DANGER: Ensure the system is not energized when updating the PLC to ensure no uncontrolled movements are possible. 1) Browse the computer and open the PLC program to download. NOTE: The file extension is .ACD 2) A new window will open 3) From the “Toolbar, go to Communication →Who Active.

Press [No] to keep the PLC in program mode. 9) The software has now be updated/loaded to the PLC, but it now needs to be stored to SD card in case the system is powered down for a prolonged period.

www.dme-systems.com 13) The “Nonvolatile Memory Load/Store” window will open, ensure the following settings are correct: o Load Image = On Uninitialized Memory o Load Mode = Run o Automatic Firmware Update = Enabled 14) Press [Store] to start writing to memory. Warning, do not power down or do anything until the process is complete.

Backup PLC DANGER: Ensure the system is not energized when a backup of the PLC is taken to ensure no uncontrolled movements are possible. 1) Browse the computer and open the latest PLC program. NOTE: The file extension is .ACD 2) A new window will open 3) From the “Toolbar, go to Communication →Who Active.

This status of the process is shw by a progress bar. 8) When the process is complete, the progress bar will close. 9) From the toolbar, go to “File →Save as” to save this file with a different file name or simply press [save] to update the version that is open.
