1. Power Up & Adjust Volume
1. Battery Installation:
o
Align the battery with the rails on the back of the radio and firmly slide it in until
the latch clicks shut.
2. Turn it On/Off:
o
Locate the Power/Volume knob on the top of the radio. Turn it clockwise to
power on and counterclockwise to power off.
3. Volume Control:
o
The same knob used to turn on the radio adjusts the volume. Turn it clockwise to
increase volume and counterclockwise to decrease it.
2. Communicating on Channels
1. Channel Selection:
o
Channel Selector Knob: Rotate the channel selector knob on the top of the radio
to choose your desired channel.
2. Making a Call:
o
Press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio. Speak
clearly into the microphone on the front. Release the PTT button when finished
speaking.
3. Receiving Calls:
o
Ensure your radio is on and set to the same channel as the transmitting radio.
Adjust the volume as needed.
