    Printer Overview Chapter 1: Printer Overview Front View Name Description Touchscreen Display An application running on the touchscreen display is used to control printer operations. Emergency Stop Button Pressing this button will stop printing. The emergency stop can be released by twisting the emergency stop button.

    Getting Started Initial Installation and Setup During the initial installation, an AstroNova technician will install and set up your printer. He or she will help you get your printer running and answer any questions you may have. The technician will unpack the system components, assemble any required items, and set the printer up in its location.

    Getting Started Powering the Printer On and Off Connecting the Power Cable Use the following instructions to connect the power cable for the printer. Warning: Always use the supplied power cable connected to a grounded power outlet. 1. Connect a power cable to the printer power inlet. Installing the Wiper Cartridge Use the following instructions to install the wiper cartridge. This process requires that you move the wiper cartridge to the service position with the Astro or AstroX application.

    Getting Started Installing the Printhead Use the following instructions to install the printhead. This procedure requires that you install the printhead while performing printhead position adjustment tasks with the Astro or AstroX application. These applications are accessible from the printer touchscreen. Caution: To avoid contamination, wear powder-free, nitrile gloves before starting this procedure.

Open the red printhead protective box. Caution: Avoid contact with the printhead nozzle surface to prevent nozzle damage. Avoid contact with printhead ink ports and print unit couplings to prevent contamination.

Note: Keep the red protective box and green fluidic coupling covers for storage and shipping. Store the green fluidic coupling covers in a clean plastic bag to prevent contamination. 9.

The roll must be positioned so the printable label surface is on top as the media enters the printer. • If the printable label surface faces outward on the roll, place the roll so the end of the material is facing clockwise.

Adjust Keep Wet Spit Settings (KWS). The default settings are optimal in most situations. However, adjustments can be made if required.

    Built-In Slitter Chapter 8: Built-In Slitter About the Built-In Slitter The T2-PRO has a built-in, in-line slitter that works perfectly with die-cut label material. Slit up to four rolls with three easy-to-replace, oscillating blades that ensure a long lifetime and perfect cuts. The blades can be placed in any position or moved to the side when not in use.
