Improper installation and operation could cause personal
injury, and/or property damage. Observe the following Safety
Precautions before, during and after operating this spreader. By
following these precautions and common sense, possible injury
to persons and potential damage to this product may be avoided.
• Proper installation of this product requires the installer to have
a good understanding of automotive electronic systems and pro-
cedures. All products must have the proper fuse installed.
• If drilling holes is required to mount this product, the installer
MUST be certain that no vehicle components or other vital parts
will be damaged by the drilling process. Check both sides of the
surface to be drilled before drilling begins. Deburr any holes and
remove any metal burrs. Install grommets into all wire passage
holes.
• Do not install this product or route any wires in the deployment
area of your vehicle's air bag. Equipment mounted or located in
the air bag deployment area will damage or reduce the effective-
ness of the air bag or become a projectile that could cause seri-
ous personal injury or death to the driver or passengers. Refer
to your vehicle owner's manual for the air bag deployment area.
The user/installer assumes full responsibility to determine proper
mounting location based on providing ultimate safety to all pas-
sengers inside the vehicle. Install only where vehicle manufac-
turer recommends.
• For this product to operate at optimum efficiency, a good elec-
trical connection to chassis ground must be made. The recom-
mended procedure requires the product ground wire to be con-
nected directly to the NEGATIVE [-] battery post. At a minimum,
it may be attached to a solid metal body or chassis part that will
provide an effective ground path.
• Make certain that that in-cab controller is in an area that allows
both the vehicle and the control to be operated safely.
• Do not attempt to activate or control this device in a hazardous
driving situation.
• Do not look directly into the LED lights. Momentary blindness
and/or eye damage could result.
• Use only soap and water to clean the outer lens. Use of other
chemicals may result in premature lens cracking [crazing] and
discoloration. Lenses in this condition have significantly reduced
effectiveness and should be replaced immediately. Inspect and
operate this product monthly to confirm its proper operation and
mounting condition. Do not use a pressure washer to clean this
product.
• It is recommended that these instructions be stored in a safe
place and referred to when performing maintenance and/or rein-
stallation of this product.

Before Beginning Installation
We recommend doing a bench test before installation to ensure
that all components are working properly. Once the bench test is
complete, follow the steps below:
1. Choose the Arrow Light and In Cab Controller locations.
2. Install the wire harness into the vehicle, when necessary, drill
an appropriate sized hole(s) for passing the harness through
vehicles walls. Install split grommets in all drilled holes to avoid
abrasion with the harness.
3. Once all harness wiring has been properly routed, perform
a system function test by temporarily connecting the system. If
the system seems to not be operating properly double check all
connections, power and ground.
