    Making Espresso Using cold portafilter, filters, and cups can lower the extraction temperature, impacting the espresso quality. It is advisable to run a brewing cycle without ground coffee to preheat them before extraction. Remove the portafilter by turning it clockwise. Place the brew filter into the portafilter, making sure it fits properly.
