Web-based Setup
1. Determine the MAC (hardware) address and IP address of the
Print Server from the diagnostic print-out.
•
Press the Print Server's diagnostic button, and hold it in for
2 seconds, to generate a print-out.
Note: Postscript printers can not print this page.
2. If the Print Server's IP address is incompatible with your PC's,
use the "arp" command to change the Print Server's IP address,
as follows:
arp -s IP_Address hardware_address
3. In your Web Browser's Address or Location field, enter HTTP://
followed by the IP address of the Print Server. e.g.
http://192.168.0.2
Client PC Printing Setup
Windows Peer-to-Peer Printing
With this system, each PC prints directly to the Print Server.
This requires that the supplied software be installed on each PC,
as follows:
1. Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your drive. If the setup program
does not start automatically, run SETUP in the root folder.
2. Click the "Installation" button, then, for the Setup Type, select
the User installation option
3. Follow the prompts to complete the installation of the Peer-to-
peer Print Driver.
4. The Print Driver Setup will then run.
Print Driver Setup
1. The "Print Driver Setup" program will search Print Servers on the
network, and a screen like the following will be displayed.
2. Select the desired port on a Print Server, and then click the
"Next" button.
If an error message "A required DLL file, SETUPAPI.DLL was not
found" is displayed, either install Internet Explorer 4 or later,
or follow the procedure in the "Trouble Shooting - Windows"
section of the on-line user manual.
3. The printer port will be created automatically and pop up the
following screen to connect port to printer. Select the printer
and click "Connect". Installation completed
