Safety

Intended use

  • „ The INVICTUS hand and floor steam cleaner 2.0 was designed only for the cleaning of heat-resistant surfaces (for example, hard flooring such as tiles, stone, sealed surfaces). Cleaning agents are not required.
  • „ These surfaces must be suitable for cleaning with hot steam and high temperatures. Do not use the device on surfaces that are sensitive to water and temperature.
  • „ Test the steam cleaner initially on discreet spot and obtain a professional opinion when in doubt.
  • „ The device is only intended for household usage. It is not suitable for commercial or industrial use.
  • „ The INVICTUS hand and floor steam cleaner 2.0 is not suitable for the cleaning of:
    • Surfaces sensitive to heat and water such as untreated cork flooring
    • Oiled and waxed wood flooring, unsealed wood flooring
    • Leather, waxed furniture, synthetic materials or velvet
    • Painted or plastic-coated surfaces
    • Synthetic materials, velvet or materials sensitive to steam
  • „ Only use the device with original accessories, otherwise you may damage the device and impair the device safety. „ Only use the device as described in the instructions. Any other use is seen as improper.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY – ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FIRE HAZARD

  • „Only connect the device if the mains voltage from the outlet corresponds to the specifications on the rating plate.
  • „Do not use any extension cables or multiple sockets.
  • „Do not use the device if the plug or cable are damaged, if it was dropped or damaged in any other manner. Only allow qualified technicians to maintain or repair the device. Repairs performed by unqualified persons may cause injuries or severe disruptions.
  • „If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or qualified persons to avoid danger.
  • „When removing the plug from the outlet, grab the plug and not the power cable. Do not pull on the cable.
  • „Do not lay the power cable over sharp metal edges, do not place any heavy objects on it. Do not bend, turn or tie the power cable.
  • „Never submerse the device, power plug and power cable in water or other liquids.
  • „Immediately remove the power plug if the device falls into water. Never try to pull the device out of the water while it is connected to the power supply.
  • „Do not leave the device unattended as long as it is connected to the power supply.

  • „This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.


SAFETY DURING CLEANING

  • „Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning and allow it to cool down completely.
  • „Clean the device corresponding to the cleaning and care notes, see chapter "Care and Cleaning".


SAFETY DURING USAGE - ELECTRIC SHOCK AND FIRE HAZARD

  • „Keep sufficient space from heat sources (for example, stoves or ovens) and open flames to avoid device damage.
  • „Do not use the device in rooms in which there are easily flammable substances or poisonous as well as explosive vapors.
  • „Switch off the steam function of the device before you pull the plug.
  • „Do not clean over outlets. Never aim the steam jet at outlets or equipment with electrical components (for example, oven interiors).
  • „Always allow the device to cool down completely before you put it away for storage.
  • „Do not touch the device, power cable and plug with wet hands.
  • „Do not cover the device during usage in order to prevent a fire in the device. Do not place anything in the ventilation openings of the device and make sure that these are not plugged.
  • „Do not extinguish with water in the event of a fire! Smother flames with a fire blanket or a suitable fire extinguisher.

  • „Check the device for damage before commissioning. Do not use any damaged products or damaged accessories.
  • „Do not use the device with an empty water tank.
  • „Do not fill the water tank with cleaning agents or other additives. Do not use vinegar or similar substances.
  • „Never use the cleaning base without a microfiber cloth. Check the microfiber cloth for wear before use.
  • „Never store or use the device outside. Do not expose the device to temperatures below freezing.


SCALDING HAZARD THROUGH HOT SURFACES/HOT VAPOR

  • „Never touch the steam jet with your hands and do not aim it at people or animals. When using the cleaning base, make sure that no body parts get stuck under the cleaning base. Do not use the cleaning base without shoes.
  • „Keep the device out of the reach of children if it is turned on or cooling down.
  • „Allow accessories and microfiber cloths to cool down sufficiently before removal. Never remove accessories when steam is escaping. Hot water may drip out when removing accessories.
  • „Do not use the device above your head.

Before first use

Construction/assembly

  1. Insert the handle with bar into the corresponding opening until you hear it click into place (see fig. A).
  2. Place the lower end of the main unit in the tube provided on the cleaning foot and push the main unit by the handle in the direction of the rod until it clicks into place (see fig. B).
  3. Place the cleaning base in the center of the microfiber wipe and press it in place.
  4. To remove the handle, insert a needle or other tool into the small hole on the back of the fuselage and pull the handle out vertically at the same time.
  5. To remove the main unit, press the release buttons on both sides of the body and pull the main unit outwards (see fig. C).

Operation

Fill water tank
warningNOTE!
DO NOT ADD ANY DESCALING AGENT, AROMAS, CLEANING ADDITIVES, OILS OR OTHER CHEMICALS INTO THE WATER TANK.
WE RECOMMEND USING DISTILLED WATER TO AVOID DEPOSITS.
SWITCH OFF THE APPLIANCE AND DISCONNECT THE MAINS PLUG FROM THE SOCKET WHEN FILLING THE WATER TANK.
THE FILLER OPENING MUST NOT BE OPENED DURING USE.

  1. Turn the cover of the water tank anti-clockwise to open it (see fig. D).
  2. Fill the water tank with the measuring cup and close the water tank again with the cover (see fig. E).
  3. Fill the water tank with distilled water to prevent calcifying.

Application
warning NOTE!
ONLY USE THE DEVICE WITH A FILLED WATER TANK. ONLY USE THE DEVICE ON SUITABLE SURFACES.

  1. If necessary, unwind the power cable and insert the plug into a functional socket.
  2. The three blue LEDs on the main unit flash alternately while the appliance is heating up.
  3. As soon as the first LED lights up solid blue (after approx. 25 seconds), the appliance is ready for operation.
  4. The appliance starts automatically with min. steam strength. You can increase the steam strength by pressing the mode button (see fig. F).
    1x press - second LED lights up blue - medium vapour strength
    2x press - third LED lights up blue - max. vapour strength
  5. Press the mode button again to switch back to min. vapour strength.

Use as a floor steam cleaner

  1. Place the cleaning foot on the floor, step on the side of the cleaning foot with your foot and pull the handle towards you to activate the steam function (see fig. G).
  2. Move the cleaning foot over the surface to be cleaned. The cleaning foot should remain in motion while cleaning. Do not clean the same area for long periods of time.
  3. If you place the running appliance in an upright position and the lock on the cleaning foot engages, the steam function is deactivated and the appliance switches to standby mode. In standby mode, the appliance restarts as soon as it is placed in an inclined position.
  4. For carpet cleaning, place the cleaning foot with the microfibre mop pad in the carpet glider. This makes it easier to move the cleaning foot over the carpet.

Use as a hand-held device

  1. Disconnect the cleaner from the power supply and ensure that the appliance has cooled down. Remove the main appliance by pressing the release buttons and removing the main unit (see fig. C).
  2. You can connect the extension hose or the accessory adapter to the lower end of the main appliance until it clicks into place (see fig. H).
  3. Attach the various attachments to the front end of the extension hose or adapter and turn them clockwise until they click into place. You can use the extension hose to extend the range.
  4. Press the steam trigger on the back of the handle to activate the steam function. Steam is released as long as the button is held and there is water in the fresh water tank (see fig. I).
  5. By pressing the mode switch, you can choose between different vapour strengths.

Decommissioning

  • „ To switch off the steam cleaner, deactivate the steam function and disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
  • „ To cool down, place the appliance on a surface where the residual moisture will not cause any damage. Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
  • „ Turn the water tank cover anti-clockwise and open it, empty the water tank and allow it to dry completely.
  • „ Let the device cool down sufficiently before you remove the microfiber wiper.
  • „ You can wind the cable around the two designated hooks to save space during storage.

Cleaning and care


RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

  • „ Switch off the device before cleaning or user maintenance and disconnect it from the power network.
  • „ Never place the device under flowing water and do not submerse in water or other liquids.
  • „ Clean the device by wiping it with a moist towel.
  • „ Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads.
  • „ Store the device in a dry, cool location protected against the sun and outside of the reach of children and animals.
  • „ The microfiber cloth can be washed at 40°C. Do not use any bleach or softener.

Troubleshooting


Switch off the device and remove the plug before fixing an error! This may otherwise lead to injuries or electric shock.

Problem Possible cause Solution

The LEDs do not flash or light up

No power connection. Check if the device is connected to a functional outlet.
Maybe the outlet is defective, try another one.

Device does not work

Overheating (for example, due to a lack of water) lead to the device being shut down automatically. Let the device cool down completely, fill the water tank and try it again.

No steam comes out

Nozzle is plugged. Clean the water tank and the nozzle with standard cleaning agent, the water tank should be decalcified if necessary.
Use the device with distilled water.

There is no steam and it makes strange noises

Water tank is empty. Let the device cool down and fill the water tank.
It is difficult to move the cleaning base over the carpet. Glider not being used. Always use the carpet glider for carpet cleaning.
