Before you start

This walkthrough will help you ensure optimal compatibility between your Wireless GO or Wireless PRO system and your camera, to ensure your audio recordings are clear and clean.

You should connect your receiver to your computer, start the RØDE Central app, and select the preset for the Olympus OM-1 to ensure the settings on your microphone match those for your camera.

If you do not have access to RØDE Central, make sure you manually set the gain on your receiver to 6dB using the 'dB' button on the receiver.

While these settings have been designed to work well in most situations, you should always check your levels manually using the meters on your camera.

SETUP GUIDELINES

1. STEP 1: Make sure the camera is set to 'Movie Mode' on the right shoulder dial.
   
2. STEP 2: Press the MENU button on the upper back-left of the camera.
   
3. STEP 3: Scroll to the Movie Camera Symbol on the top row and press DOWN.
   
4. STEP 4: Scroll across to the 'Sound Recording/Connection' category and select 'Sound Recording Settings'.
   
5. STEP 5: Select 'Volume Limiter'.
   
6. STEP 6: Select 'Off' and press the 'OK' button on the back right of the camera to confirm.
   
7. STEP 7: Select 'Wind Noise Reduction'.
   
8. STEP 8: Select 'Off' and press the 'OK' button on the back right of the camera to confirm.
   
9. STEP 9: Select 'Plug-in Power'.
   
10. STEP 10: Select 'Off' and press the 'OK' button on the back right of the camera to confirm.
    
11. STEP 11: Select 'Recording Volume'.
    
12. STEP 12: Select 'MIC'.
    
13. STEP 13: Scroll down until '–9' is selected, then press the 'OK' button on the back right of the camera to confirm.

Your camera is now set up and ready to go.
