    Each burner ratings label has the specific inlet gas supply pressure listed. Standard burners are shipped as natural gas or propane gas, as indicated on the burner rating label. Heatco GC burner models can operate on either gas with only a gas orifice and manifold pressure adjustment. Field gas conversions need to contact the manufacturer for orifices and labels that are to be applied on the burner showing that the burner has been converted to a different gas other than what is stated on the ratings label.

    Gas Supply, Piping, Connections All Heatco GC burner models come with specifically designed gas trains. It is up to the equipment manufacturer and/or the end user to communicate all gas train requirements at the time of order. These requirements can be but are not limited to gas type, gas supply pressure, gas supply pipe size, gas train standard, installation location, environmental conditions, electrical supply, and local jurisdictions.

    Wiring Heatco GC burner models are pre-wired based on job specifications at the factory. Refer to the wiring diagram shipped with the burner. Electrical hook-ups and installations must be made in accordance with the National Electrical Code, applicable local codes, or any other requirements by an authority having jurisdiction.

    Questions on combustion air duct systems must be directed back the appliance manufacturer who installed the Heatco GC burner. The volume of air supplied for each GC burner program for maximum firing rate can be found in the table within the specifications and ratings section.

    Operation and Procedures The Heatco GC Burner series utilizes a direct spark and safety control (no pilot). Coupled with a Maxitrol SC40 and Control Resources Cirrus 2 motor speed controller, the burner control will vary the gas and the air throughout the operating and modulation range.

    Initial Start -Up 1. Refer to Appliance Manufacturer’s Installation and Operation Manual provided. Follow recommended start- up and adjustment procedures. WARNING ! The power burner provided with this gas burner requires a Factory Qualified Burner Technician for initial start-up. A flue gas analyzer must be used when making adjustments to insure proper combustion.

    Sequence of Operations 1. Turn thermostat or temperature controller to its lowest setting. 2. Turn off gas supply at the inlet gas manual shut-off valve. 3. Turn off power to the unit at the disconnect switch. 4. Remove access panel or open access door to unit vestibule housing the burner. 5.

    IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR NEW INSTALLATIONS TO TAKE SEVERAL LIGHT OFF TRIALS DUE TO AIR BEING IN THE GAS PIPING. PURGING AIR FROM THE LINES MAY NEED TO BE DONE. 14. Once the ignition sequence is verified, the SSC40 will go into a warm up period of 20 seconds. The CC6+ will have a steady-on green light.

    Heatco will repair or provide, at its option, any components which, it finds to be defective, provided that the unit has been operated within its listed capacity, installed in accordance with the furnished instructions, and had an initial startup evaluation performed by a qualified combustion technician.
