General information

power supply and putting it into operation. Keep these instructions and the

The power supply is tested in accordance with the following standards:
• CB (EN/IEC 62368-1, EN/IEC 61010-1, EN/IEC 61010-2-201)
• UL (UL/CSA 62368-1, UL/CSA 61010-1*, UL/CSA 61010-2-201*)
Intended use
The unit is designed for permanent connection to 3-phase TN or TT star
systems in the range of AC 320-575 V (IEC/EN) or AC 185/320-304/528 V
(UL/CSA) and DC 450-600 V. The required protection for the supply line is a
maximum of 16 A, with characteristic C or faster. A fire protection enclosure
is required in the final application. External wiring must be rated for at least
90°C. Do not use in areas where moisture or condensation is expected. All
devices have internal input fuses for overcurrent protection (non-replace-
able). The device is protected against output short circuits, overvoltage,
and overload. For safety reasons, the device requires a protective earth
connection. Clean only with a dry cloth.

Vorausgesetzte Kenntnisse und Verantwortungsbereiche der
Bediener/Anwender
• Dieses Gerät darf ausschließlich von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal installiert
und in Betrieb genommen werden.
• Das Gerät beinhaltet keine zu wartenden Teile. Führen Sie keine
Änderungen oder Reparaturversuche durch.
• Vor jeder Inbetriebnahme des Netzgerätes ist dieses auf offensichtliche
Mängel überprüfen.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Gerät ist für den permanenten Anschluss an 3-phasige TN- oder
TT-Sternsysteme im Bereich von AC 320-575 V (IEC/EN) bzw. AC 185/320-
304/528 V (UL/CSA) und DC 450-600 V geeignet. Vorgeschriebener Schutz
der Zuleitung: max. 16 A, Charakteristik C oder schneller. Ein Brandschutzge-
häuse ist in der Endanwendung erforderlich. Die externe Verkabelung muss für
min. 90°C geeignet sein. Nicht in Bereichen verwenden, in denen mit Feuch-
tigkeit oder Kondensation zu rechnen ist. Alle Geräte verfügen über interne
Eingangssicherungen zum Überstromschutz (nicht austauschbar). Das Gerät
ist gegen Ausgangskurzschluss, Überspannung und Überlast geschützt. Das
Gerät benötigt aus Sicherheitsgründen einen Schutzleiteranschluss. Nur mit
einem trockenen Tuch reinigen.

Installing the Power Supply

To install the power supply, proceed as follows:
Step Description
1 Before any installation or maintenance work, disconnect and
lock-off the mains supply for at least 5 minute and secure it
against accidental reconnection.
2 Place the device on the DIN rail with a slight upward tilt. Snap the
device into the DIN rail.
3 Allow adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. Input termi-
nals on bottom.
4 When connecting the PSU to an AC input voltage, first connect the
earth ground wire to the terminal block.
5 Ensure that all strands of each wire are inserted into the terminal
connection and that the terminals are securely fastened to prevent
poor contact. The use of ferrule terminations is recommended if
stranded wires are used.
6 When disconnecting the power supply unit from the AC input
voltage, first disconnect the wires L1 L2 L3, then disconnect the
earth ground wire from the terminal block.
7 Any usage which does not comply with the specifications may
decrease the performance or damage the device.
Putting the Power Supply into operation
Important! Before applying power, ensure that the rated output
current and voltage of the power supply meet the requirements of
the application.

Um das Netzgerät zu installieren, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Schritt Beschreibung
1 Nachdem das Gerät von allen Spannungsquellen getrennt
wurde liegt über einen Zeitraum von 5 Minuten noch gefährliche
Spannung an dem Gerät an.
2 Setzen Sie das Gerät leicht geneigt auf die Hutschiene auf und
rsaten Sie es ein.
3 Achten Sie auf ausreichende Belüftung, um eine Überhitzung
des Gerätes zu vermeiden! Die Eingangsklemmen müssen unten
sein.
4 Bei Anschluss des Netzteils zuerst das Erdungskabel mit der
Klemmleiste verbinden.
5 Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Litzen der einzelnen Kabel in den
Klemmenanschluss eingeführt und die Klemmen sicher befestigt sind,
um einen schlechten Kontakt zu vermeiden. Bei Verwendung von
flexiblen Kabeln wird die Verwendung von Aderendhülsen empfohlen.
6 Wenn Sie das Netzgerät von der Eingangsspannung trennen,

Inbetriebnahme des Netzgerätes
Wichtig: Stellen Sie vor dem Anschließen der Leistung sicher, dass
der Nennausgangsstrom und die Nennspannung des Netzteils den
Anforderungen der Anwendung entsprechen.

Safe operation of the Power Supply
Operate the power supply only according to the conditions and the ambient
temperatures listed in the Specifications.
The power supply should:
• not be operated if defective
• not be operated under full load without sufficient cooling
• be installed in a controlled environment compliant with
pollution degree 2 (PD2)
Faults and troubleshooting
Depending on the protection type mechanism, the device restarts automat-
ically after the default has been rectified
Liability and warranty
RECOM Power GmbH assumes no responsibility and no liability for
damages if:
• the power supply is used for purposes not listed in the
Intended use section
• the power supply is operated outside of specification
• the power supply is modified in any way
• the power supply is improperly installed
• the power supply is operated in a defective condition
• the power supply is exposed to corrosive chemicals or gases
• the documentation is not kept up to date
Dismantling and disposing of the Power Supply
• Disconnect the power supply
• Uninstall the power supply
The EG WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive
applies to this product. Always dispose of packaging material
and electrical devices or components via authorized collection or
disposal points, not in household waste.

Sicherer Betrieb des Netzgerätes
Betreiben Sie das Netzgerät nur unter jenen Bedingungen und
Umgebungstemperaturen, welche in den „Spezifikationen"
angeführt sind. Folgendes ist zu beachten:
• nicht in defektem Zustand betreiben
• unter Volllast nur mit ausreichender Kühlung betreiben
• Installationen nur in einer kontrollierten Umgebung Verschmutzungsgrad
2 (PD2) durchführen

Demontage und Entsorgung des Netzgerätes
• Versorgungsspannung abschalten
• Vom Netz trennen
Das Produkt entspricht dem EG WEEE Elektro- und Elektronik-
gerätegesetz. Entsorgen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial und die
Elektrogeräte und deren Komponenten immer über die hierfür
autorisierten Sammelstellen oder Entsorgungsbetriebe. Nicht über
