The NexiGo NS53 Wireless Controller is an enhanced Controller for the Switch gaming console. Providing all of the normal functionality you would expect from a Switch Pro Controller or Switch Joy-Cons, the NexiGo NS53 also features a turbo function so you can preset your buttons to turbo fire. This makes it great for repetitive tasks or games that require button mashing. Made from a tough ABS material the NexiGo NS53 is durable and designed to last. With a six-axis gyroscope and built-in acceleration functions, it has the technology that you need to be competitive.

WIRELESS CONNECTION

Wireless Pairing:

  1. Make sure the device you want to pair with is powered on. From the home menu in the Switch console select Controllers as shown below.

  2. Select Change Grip/Order on the Controllers menu page as shown below.

  3. Press the Left Release Button at the back of the left NS53 Joy-Con while sliding it up to detach it from the central pad. Repeat this process with the right NS53 Joy-Con.

  4. Press and hold the Left Pairing Button on the side of the left NS53 Joy-Con for three seconds until the Player Indicator LEDs flash quickly to show that the left NS53 Joy-Con is in pairing mode. The left NS53 Joy-Con will then connect to the console, and the Player Indicator LEDs will stop flashing indicating that the connection has been made. Repeat this process with the right NS53 Joy-Con.

  5. Follow the instructions below to set the NS53 as two individual controllers or one singular controller.
    1. To use each NS53 Joy-Con as an individual controller:
      Hold the Joy-Con sideways, and press the SL Button and the SR Button at the same time. Once paired, the Player Indicator LEDs corresponding to the controller number will remain lit. Repeat this process with the other controller to set them both as individual controllers.

    2. To use the NS53 as a singular controller:
      Attach both Joy-Cons back to the NS53 central pad by sliding them onto the rails from top to bottom until you hear a click, and press the L Button and the R Button at the same time. Once paired, the Player Indicator LEDs on the central pad corresponding to the controller number will remain lit.

Disconnecting the Wireless Pairing
To Disconnect:
Press and hold the Left Pairing Button and the Right Pairing Button on the side of each NS53 Joy-Con for three seconds, and the controller will unpair from your device.

PHYSICAL CONNECTION

Physical Pairing

  1. Press the Left Release Button at the back of the left NS53 Joy-Con while sliding it up to detach it from the central pad. Repeat this process with the right NS53 Joy-Con.

  2. Attach the NS53 Joy-Cons to the Switch console by sliding them onto the rails from top to bottom until you hear a click. Once connected the Joy-Cons will automatically pair themselves with the console.

Disconnecting the Physical Pairing
To Disconnect
Press the Left Release Button at the back of the left NS53 Joy-Con while sliding it up to detach it from the central pad. Repeat this process with the right NS53 Joy-Con.

CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

Use a USB-C charging cable to connect the NS53 Joypads to a DC 5V/1A power supply. The Player Indicator LEDs of the connected Joypads will flash slowly indicating the charging status and will turn off when fully charged.

Note: To charge both the left and right Joy-Cons, both Joy-Cons need to be connected to power through their USB Type-C charging ports, or by connecting them to the Switch console directly. Connecting only the left or right NS53 Joy-Cons to power will not charge both Joy-Cons.

TURBO FUNCTION

Many of the buttons on this controller can be set to turbo functionality. The buttons capable of using the turbo function are: A / B / X / Y / L / R / ZL / ZR / D-pad.

How to Use the Turbo Function

  1. Press the Turbo button and one of the above buttons to enable the semi-auto turbo function on that button. The semi-auto turbo function means if you long press one of the A / B / X / Y / L / R / ZL / ZR / D-pad buttons, you will repeat the button roles. (If you did not activate the semi-auto turbo function, long-pressing a button equals short-pressing a button and the button role actually works for only one time.)

  2. Repeat the above step again to enable full-auto mode. The full-auto turbo function means once you activate the full-auto turbo function, you do not need to press any button, and you are automatically repeating the button role which was set for turbo.
  3. Repeat the above step for the third time to disable the Turbo function.

Turbo Speed Adjustment

Turbo Speed Adjustment - For the left Joypad
For the left Joypad: Press the Turbo button and the - button at the same time to adjust the turbo speed in three levels: 5 / 12 / 20 times per second.

For the right Joypad: Press the Turbo button and the + button at the same time to adjust the turbo speed in three levels: 5 / 12 / 20 times per second.

HAPTIC FEEDBACK STRENGTH ADJUSTMENT

  1. Press the Left Turbo button and pull the Left Joystick upward / downward at the same time to increase / decrease the haptic feedback vibration strength.

  2. Press the Right Turbo button and pull the Right Joystick upward / downward at the same time to increase / decrease the haptic feedback vibration strength.

  3. After choosing a vibration level the motor will vibrate at the chosen level for 0.5 seconds to indicate that choice.
  4. There are five adjustment levels for the haptic feedback: off / weak/ medium / strong / boost.

RGB LIGHT SETTING

  1. Press the Left or Right Turbo button and click the L3 or R3 button at the same time to change the light color around the left or right joysticks among: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, cyan, purple, or a cycling RGB mode.
  2. Press and hold the Left or Right Turbo button and double-click the L3 button at the same time to change the light mode among: single color breathing mode, cycling colors breathing mode, and off.

MAPPING THE REAR BUTTONS

  1. Many of the buttons on this controller can be mapped to the rear buttons. The mappable buttons are: A / B / X / Y / L / R / ZL / ZR / D-pad / Left Joystick / Right Joystick.
  2. The rear buttons that you can map to are: 3L / 3R.

How to Map the Back Buttons?
Press the ML / MR button, and the Player Indicator LEDs will flash slowly to indicate that the left / right Joypad is in mapping mode. Press the ML / MR button and one of the Mappable buttons you wish to map at the same time, and the left / right Joypad will vibrate for 0.5 seconds to indicate that the mapping for the 3L / 3R button is complete. The Player Indicator LEDs will return to their previous state indicating that the mapping process was successful. The 3L / 3R button now function as the button you chose to map it to.
Note: This controller does not support mapping button combinations.

FACTORY RESET

PERFORMING A FACTORY RESET
Use a needle, a pin, or another small item to press the button inside the Left / Right Reset Cavity on the back of the controller.
The controller will be powered off and then reset itself. You will need to pair the controller to your devices again using the methods outlined above as this process will remove all pairing information, any turbos, and any saved button mappings.

FAQ

How can I connect the controller to my Switch console?
If you are not able to connect the controller to the console using the normal methods outlined above, please try the following options in numerical order:

  1. This may be due to the controller being low on power. Please try charging the controller first and then try connecting again after charging has been completed.
  2. If you have been trying the wireless connection, please try the physical connection.
  3. Please try clearing the Switch console connection cache as shown in the picture below. You can do this by going to System Settings > System > Formatting Options > Reset Cache. If you have a number of connected devices this may affect pairing time. Clear excess Bluetooth data to help the controller pair more quickly.

  4. If none of the other options help, please use a needle, a pin, or another small item to press the button inside the Left / Right Reset Cavity on the back of the controller. The controller will be powered off and will then reset itself. After the controller has been reset, please pair the controller to the Switch console again as outlined in the standard connection procedure above.

How can I calibrate the Joysticks

To calibrate the joysticks please follow the instructions below. These instructions must be performed on the Switch console.
Note: Place the NS53 Controller on a flat surface for calibration. Please use the NS53 as a singular controller to calibrate the Joysticks.

  1. Press the Home button to return to the Switch home page and select System Settings.
  2. Select the heading Controllers and Sensors and then select Calibrate Control Sticks.

  3. Follow the instructions as shown below to calibrate the joystick.

  4. Follow the onscreen prompts to redo the calibration process if the joystick is not working as expected. Otherwise, your joystick will now be fully calibrated.

How can I calibrate the motion control in my controller?
We recommended doing this after connecting to a device for the first time to ensure normal operation. Place the NS53 Controller on a flat surface and follow the following method steps to calibrate:

  1. Turn on the Switch console and make sure that you have already paired your controller with the console using the method outlined in the section on pairing in this manual. From the Home menu in the Switch, select System Settings, then scroll down and select Controllers and Sensors as shown below.

  2. Select Calibrate Motion Controls from the menu, and then follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the controller by pressing the + or - keys to start the process as shown below.

  3. Please ensure that you follow all instructions as prompted. Failure to do so may result in the calibration failing. Remove all straps and accessories from the controller and place the controller on a flat stable surface with the joystick facing upwards.

  4. Once the calibration is complete the system will provide a prompt to exit the calibration screen. Press OK. The calibration process is now complete and your controller is ready to be used.

Buttons do not work

How can I fix this?
If controller buttons do not work, please perform the following operation test:

  1. On a Switch console: Navigate to Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Test Input Devices.
  2. If you are having issues with the joysticks, please try calibrating them by navigating to: Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Calibrate Control Sticks.
  3. If you are having issues with the motion sensors, please navigate to: Settings > Controller and Sensors > Calibrate Motion Control > Calibrate Controllers.

NOTES

  • When not in use, it is recommended that you store the controller and do not leave it plugged in for long periods.
  • To ensure the longevity and lifespan of the unit, protect it from dust and do not place other objects on it.
  • If the controller is inoperable but does not show signs of damage, please exercise the warranty or dispose of the item.
  • Keep away from small children due to potential hazards.
  • Do not give to children under three years of age.
  • Do not charge the controller using a frayed or damaged USB cable.
  • Do not touch the device, power adaptor, or USB cable with wet hands. Keep this product dry.
  • Do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or modify the controller under any circumstance.
  • Do not place the controller near fire, heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
