The subject of this instruction manual is an espresso coffee machine called MC-E. It is designed and manufactured by BiePi Srl. BiePi Srl - via Monte Arera, 14 - 24040 – Castel Rozzone (Bg) - Italy 2. Intended use MC-E machine is designed and manufactured to dispense espresso coffee and hot water and to emit hot steam.
Burn / Scald hazard When the machine is turned on, water inside the circuit reaches high temperatures. The flow of hot water causes heating in some parts of the machine. Do not touch hot surfaces. Avoid contact with hot water and hot steam.
The machine must be installed in a suitable room (from a hygienic/sanitary point of view), with adequate ventilation and lighting Put the machine over a strong, horizontal plane. The electric socket (or the switchboard) must be appropriately sized and easy to disconnect Do not use extension cords, multiple sockets or adapters Before connecting or disconnecting the power supply cable, check that the main switch of the machine is set to “off” Avoid contact with liquids.
6.2 Water connection The connection to the water supply network must be made according to the following requirements. Do not implement any kind of temporary connection The connection between the application and the main water circuit must be realized through a shut-off valve (tap). When the machine remains unused, the valve must be closed.

10. Using the machine 10.1 First use (or use after a long stop) After checking that electric and water connections are in order, open the tap and press the main switch on the machine. Check the manometer that the machine reaches the operating temperature. During heating leave the filter holders inserted in the coffee group so that they warm up too. Warning: when the machine is operating, the filter holder, the coffee groups, the wands, the warmer tray and some other parts are hot.
10.2.2 Hot steam During the steam emission, be careful with the wands: the steam is hot and could cause damages. Do not touch the wand, do not come into contact with the steam. To emit steam, you have to rotate the steam knob. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to start the steam emission, turn the knob clockwise to stop the steam emission.
11. Programming 11.1 Dose programming Coffee and hot water have preset dosing time. To change the dosing time, follow this sequence (MC-E A only): 1. Hold down the Start/Stop button for at least 3 ⑤ seconds. The button starts flashing 2.

12. Cleaning and maintenance 12.1 Clean the shell Before any cleaning operation, be sure that the machine is turned off, the temperature has dropped and the isolator is open. Do not put the machine in water, do not spraying jets of water on the machine, do not use solvents or abrasive materials.
