HOW TO USE
This toaster is for household use only.
BEFORE USING YOUR TOASTER
- Remove all protective wrappings and stickers prior to using the toaster.
- When the toaster is used for the first time an odor may be emitted due to manufacturing residue or oil remaining in the toaster or heating element. This is normal and should disappear after some time.
- Avoid toasting breads with extremely runny ingredients such as butter or garlic bread.
- Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
- In order to achieve uniform color we recommend that you should wait a minimum of 30 seconds between each toasting so that colour control can reset automatically.
USING YOUR TOASTER
- Plug the power cord into the outlet.
- Insert up to 2 slices of bread, muffins, or bagels into the bread slots.
- Make sure the crumb tray is positioned in place before using.
- Press the carriage control lever down until it clicks into place. Toasting cycle will automatically commence.
NOTE: If the toaster is not plugged in and switched on at the power point the carriage control lever will not click into place. - Select the desired browning setting by pressing the button "+" or "-", the display will show the selected number from 1 to 6 with the browning dots. (No.1-lightest, No.6-darkest).
NOTE: When using the toaster for the first time we suggest you toast on number 3. Varying types of bread and personal preference may require a different browning setting. - As the toasting time goes, the dots will disappear one after another. The toaster turns off when the toasting time is complete and the carriage pops up raises the toast. The toasting process can be stopped at any time by pressing the cancel button.
TOASTING FROZEN BREAD
To toast frozen bread, place the bread into the bread slots and press the carriage control lever down until it clicks into place, wait for 3 seconds then press the defrost button. The defrost icon will appear on the display. The desired browning setting can be set by pressing the button "+" or "-".
REHEAT BUTTON
Use the lowest setting, and only reheat plain, unbuttered toast.
LIFT & SEE FUNCTION
The toaster allows you to lift the carriage control lever up to look over the toast color in any working state without cancelling the toasting process. Do not touch the bread during checking. Release the carriage control lever, the bread will return to the slots to continue being toasted. If you are satisfied with the toasted bread, press the cancel button to stop further toasting. In the unlikely event that the bread becomes jammed, switch the toaster off at the power outlet, remove the plug from the supply socket and carefully ease the bread out of the toaster, ensuring that you do not damage the element.
