  • Page 3 1 . I N T R O D U C T I O N This document introduces to the driver the basic knowledge needed for driving the Audi RS 3 LMS safely, efficiently and faster. This quick briefing will teach the driver how to start/stop the engine and the car correctly, where are the main functions needed for racing and how to interpret the different message and warmings the car will generate.

  • Page 12 3 . R E A D Y T O D R I V E P R O C E S S In order to START the engine and get the car ready to drive mode, the driver should always proceed in this order: 3 .
  • Page 13 4 . D R I V I N G A I D S 4 . 1 . L A U N C H L I M I T E R The launch limiter is activated by the launch button and reduces the engine limiter to the pre-set value in the ECU.
  • Page 14 9. Depart: Maintaining launch button pressed, release the hand-brake and play with clutch and throttle for spinning control. (approx. 2.5 sec ). Max. time in launching process is 4 sec. to avoid overheating the clutch 10. Release launch button at 50 km/h – indicated by the white bar from 0 to 50km/h and turning green at 50km/h when button should be released.

  • Page 23 *Note that in exceptional circumstances, from Neutral to Reverse or from first gear to reverse gear shifting could fail and gear engagement mechanism could remain in between two gears. This is not very common but could happen due to front wheels are lock and due to dog-to-dog gearing could occur.
