  • Page 2 SAFETY DURING REPAIR WORK 1. In order to disassemble and repair the unit in question, be sure to disconnect the power cord plug from the power outlet before starting the work. 2. If it is necessary to replace any parts, they should be replaced with respective genuine parts for the unit, and the replacement must be effected in correct manner according to the instructions in the Service Manual of the unit.

  • Page 15 INDOOR UNIT INDICATORS FROST WASH LAMP This lamp lights when the Frost Wash function is in operation. This lamp blinks to suggest operating manual FROST WASH operation after 200 hours of air conditioner cumulative usage. Please refer to remote controller manual for the details of Frost Wash operation.
  • Page 16 NAMES AND FUNCTIONS OF REMOTE CONTROL UNIT REMOTE CONTROLLER This controls the operation of the indoor unit. Signal range to reach indoor unit is about 7 meters. If inverter lamp is used, the range of control may be shorter. This unit can be fi xed on a wall using the fi xture provided. Before fi xing it, make sure the indoor unit can be controlled from the remote controller.
  • Page 17 COOLING OPERATION Use the device for cooling when the outdoor temperature is 21 ~ 46°C. If indoors humidity is very high (over 80%), some dew may form on the air outlet grille of the indoor unit. Press the selector button so that the display indicates (COOL).
  • Page 18 SILENT OPERATION During Cooling mode, press the selector button so that the display indicates (SILENT) along with the (COOL) symbol. Silent operation starts with a beep.   • Page 19 DEHUMIDIFYING OPERATION Use the device for dehumidifying when the room temperature is over 16°C. When it is under 15°C, the dehumidifying function will not work. Press the selector button so that the display indicates (DEHUMIDIFY). The FAN SPEED is set at SILENT or LOW automatically. The FAN SPEED button can be used to change between SILENT and LOW only.

When fan set to “Hi” or “Auto mode” and temperature difference between indoor temperature and set temperature has a corresponding compressor rpm (calculated value in Table 2) larger than CMAX. (2) Cool Dashed will release when i) a maximum 25 minutes is lapsed and ii) room temperature is lower than set temperature –3°C (thermo off) and iii) when room temperature has achieved setting temperature –1°C then maximum Cool Dashed time will be revised to 20 minutes.
