  • Page 21 SECTION 3 MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS 3.1 General Perform necessary oil inspection and replacement. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that components are in good condition. Require appropriate equipment for maintenance and repair, and obey relevant rules and instructions in Operator's manual. If the safety equipment is removed during maintenance, reinstall the safety equipment and inspect it immediately after the maintenance work is completed.
  • Page 22 3.2.3 Personnel safety equipment The operator must use safety equipment when operating the machine. Select suitable safety equipment such as helmets, gloves, protective goggles, safety belts, boots and hearing protection devices according to the work site conditions. Figure 3-1 Personnel safety equipment Check safety equipment before and after operation, and perform maintenance according to specified procedures or replacement if necessary.
  • Page 23 If you find any items that require immediate repair and adjustment, perform maintenance immediately. Contact local Zoomlion service center for repairing. Please use the accessories and grease specified by our company for good performance. Timely replacement of consumables, such as filter element to prevent failures due to delays.
  • Page 24 Use clean grease. The room where grease is stored should be kept clean and no dust, water, etc. should enter the container. Ensure that the grease used does not contain water. Figure 3-3 Clean grease check Use specified grease. Use the recommended grade or the same grade of oil and grease when replenishing or replacing.
  • Page 25 Never direct water or water vapour jets at electrical components and connectors! Otherwise there is a danger of electric shock! Figure 3-6 DO NOT spray water at the electric shock or joint Lubricate the steering knuckles after cleaning. Clean the control panel with warm water containing detergent only. DO NOT use corrosive cleaning agent.
  • Page 26 Welding or repairing of any components and wear-resistant parts of this unit should be conducted by trained technicians. Figure 3-7 Beware of explosion The positive and negative wires of the battery must be removed when welding to prevent the positive and negative poles of the welder from forming a loop with the machine body, thereby burning electrical components such as controllers and sensors.
  • Page 27 Prevent dust intrusion. The dismantled hydraulic tubing and hydraulics must be protected with a blockage or seal to prevent dust. Figure 3-8 Dust prevention Clean joint surface. Removing the O-ring or other gasket, clean the sealing surface and replace with a new seal. Apply a thin layer of oil to the seal when reassembling.
  • Page 28 m) Mind the high temperature part of the cooling system. If the cover of the radiator is removed while the engine coolant temperature is high, steam or hot water will be ejected, causing burns. Waiting for the temperature drop of coolant, stand in front of the radiator cover and slowly loosen the cover to release the steam, pressure before removing the cover.
