  • Page 7 OPERATION: CHANGING ºF TO ºC ARC InstaTemp™ is set to Fahrenheit by default. To change to Celsius, follow these simple steps: Press and release the activation button to get a reading. Once the reading appears on screen in Centigrade, press and release the activation button again —the reading will automatically change to Fahrenheit.

  • Page 9 OPERATION: TAKING A TEMPERATURE Point the thermometer at the person as shown below. Ensure the device is 0.5–1.2 ins /1–3cm from the forehead, above the eyebrows and between the eyes. Thermometer must be held steady at a straight angle pointing directly at the center of the forehead at the area above the eyebrows and between the eyes when taking a temperature.
  • Page 10 OPERATION: TAKING A TEMPERATURE The temperature reading will be displayed for 4 seconds. Temperature Range Indicator System The temperature range indicator will be green, orange or red depending on the temperature measurement detected. Should you wish to take a second reading, wait for 5 seconds and repeat.
