PUMP'IN TANK Manual

INTRODUCTION

This device is designed to inflate cars, vans, bikes, motorcycles, garden tractor tires, also any type of balls.
It can also inflate large masses of air: inflatable boat, canoes, inflatable pool, inflatables, but not inflatable paddles that requires specific tips.
It is not designed to inflate big truck type tires, agricultural tractor.
Its reserve of air allows an autonomy without source of energy, of a capacity of 6L, enough to make refill of tires of vehicles at a distance.
Before using the mini-compressor, read the user manual carefully!
The operating manual must be kept permanently with the mini-compressor.
Improper use of the product may result in property damage or injury to the user.

MANUAL

Before each use, inspect the general condition of the Air Compressor.

Preparing the compressor

Always make sure the compressor's power switch (2) is in its 0FF position and power cord is unplugged
Preparing for use

Note: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
In addition to air tools, your compressor can be connected to several accessories suitable for blowing, washing and spraying. For technical specifications and detailed instructions, please refer to the instructions provided for each accessory. Once the accessories are connected, the compressor is ready for use.

  • If not already fitted, insert and tighten a connecter (4) into the air outlet. A small amount of PTFE tape may be required on the threads to prevent air leaks.
  • Open the air regulator (3) fully.
  • Turn the compresser on by pushing the switch (2) to the "ON" position.
  • Run the compresser for 30 minute s allowing the pressure to escape.
  • Turn the regulator dial fully counter-dockwise allowing pressure to build up. Once the maximum pressure is reached, the machine stops automatically.
  • Turn the compresser off, by pressing the switch (2) to the 'OFF' position and open the regulator valve allowing the air to escape.

Moisture in compressed air
When humidity is high or when a compresser is in continuous use for an extended period of time, this moisture will collect in the tank. When using a point spray gun or sandblast gun, this water will be carried from the tank through the hose, and out of the gun as droplets mixed with the spray material.

This condensation will cause water spots in a point job, especially when spraying other than water based points. If sandblasting, it will cause the sand to case and clog the gun rendering it ineffective. A filter in the air line, located as near to the gun as possible, will help eliminate this moisture.

Condensate
The condensate should be drained after each use by opening the drain valve (at the bottom of the pressure tank).
To do so, slowly and carefully unscrew (no more than one turn) the Tank Drain Valve until the compressed air and condensation begins to be released from the Tanks. Allow sufficient time for ail of the air and condensation to empties from the Tanks. Then, firmly re-tighten the Drain Valve.

Safety valve
The safety valve is set to the maximum allowable pressure of the pressure tank. lt is not permitted to adjust the safety valve or remove its seal.

Cleaning of intake filter

  • The copper filter protects against penetration of foreign bodies and dust.
  • lt is necessary to clean or replace this filter if the performance drops or no later than after 100 operating hours.
  • Minar dust deposits con be cleaned with a brush or an air gun.
  • If there is a lot of dirt. soak the filter in petrol for three minutes and clean it carefully. Then blow it dry.

Pressure switch setting
The pressure switch is factory-set.
Switch-on pressure is approx. 6 bar. Switch-off pressure is 8 bar.

Safety valve

DO NOT REMOVE OR ATTEMPT TO ADJUST THE SAFETY VALVE!
This valve (6) should be checked under pressure occasionally by rotating the valve with hand. If air leaks after the valve has been released, or valve is stuck, it MUST be replaced.

Thermal overload protector

THIS COMPRESSOR IS EOUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC RESET THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTOR. WHICH WILL SHUT OFF THE MOTOR IF IT BECOMES OVERHEATED.
If the thermal overload protection device frequently stops the engine, pay attention to the following reasons.

  • Low voltage.
  • Clogged air filter.
  • Lack of proper ventilation.

IF THE THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTOR IS ACTUATED, THE MOTOR MUST BE ALLOWED TO COOL DOWN BEFORE START-UP IS POSSIBLE. THE MOTOR WILL AUTOMATICALLY RESTART WITHOUT WARNING IF LEFT PLUGGED INTO ELECTRICAL OUTLET AND UNIT IS TURNED ON.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Fault Possible cause Remedy
The compressor does not start.
  • No supply voltage.
  • Insufficient supply voltage.
  • Outside temperature is too low
  • Motor is overheated.
  • Check the supply voltage, the power plug and the socket-outlet.
  • Make sure that the extension cable is not too long. Use an extension cable with large enough wires.
  • Never operate with an outside temperature of below +5°C.
  • Allow the motor to cool down. If necessary, remedy the cause of the overheating.
The compressor starts but there is no pressure.
  • The non-return valve leaks.
  • The seals are damaged.
  • The drain plug for condensation water (1) leaks.
  • Have a service center replace the non-return valve.
  • Check the seals and have any damaged seals replaced by a service center.
  • Tighten the screw by hand. Check the seal on the screw and replace if necessary.

Repair

Only an authorized repairer can mend your device otherwise the warranty will lapse and the responsibility of the manufacturer wouldn't be blamed in case of problems.

SECURITY PRECAUTIONS

Before use

  • Check that the device is not damaged.
If you notice that the mini-compressor is failed: electrical wires, mini-compressor body, air tank, the product will be out of use, it will have to be taken care by a professional repairer or discarded and recycled.
  • Check that the moving parts are all operational.

  • Do not use the device in a corrosive, keep away from any source of spark.
  • The machine must work on a flat surface.
  • Do not use in a humid environment or in the rain, electrocution might occur!
  • Avoid using extension cords that are too long and cause a voltage drop.
  • Do not bend or block the hose during operation of the mini-compressor.
  • Keep the cable away from heat, oil or sharp edges.
  • the compressor is designed to work over a range of + 5°C to + 40°C. In case of low temperature, the engine may have difficulty starting. If too warm, risk of overheating.
  • The appliance can only be used indoors, in a clean and dry place.
  • Keep the device out of the reach of children.
  • Keep children away from packing materials and supplied tips and accessories: risk of asphyxiation or ingestion.
  • the device generates a magnetic field that can interfere with medical devices (pacemaker...), do not use the device for the people concerned.
  • Use protective glasses!
  • Use hearing protection!

After use

  • After use, allow the appliance to cool, there is a risk of burning.
  • Immediately disconnect the power supply so that the product can not be used inadvertently or by others.
  • Any cleaning operation of the appliance, disassembly, maintenance, must be done unplugged.
