IDENTIFICATION AND INSTALLATION

GENERAL
1.01
This section is reissued to add information
on:
• KS-19425, List 2 booth (Fig. 1) which replaces
the List 1 booth (MD).
• KS-19425, List 26 and List 27 shelf assemblies
• KS-20030, List 3 directory hanger (optional)
• KS-19425, List 25 lower backboard plate
and cover assembly (optional)

which is hereby cancelled.
2.
IDENTIFICATION
PURPOSE
2.01
The KS-19425, List 2 booth (Fig.
1)
is an
indoor-outdoor aluminum and glass telephone
booth designed for single, side-by-side, or back-to-hack
installations.
2.02
This booth is designed primarily for stand-up
service; however, a high-position seat, located
approximately 27 inches from the floor, is available
for sit-down service if desired.
DESIGN FEATURES
2.03
The overall dimensions of the booth are:
• Height-83-118 inches
• Width-28-3/4 inches
• Depth-28-3/4 inches

2.04
The self-closing door, consisting of two
vertical sections, each supporting a clear
safety glass panel, folds inside the booth along
the right wall.
For indoor use, the door may
remain in the normally opened position if so desired.
A rubber molding is attached to the bottom edge
of the door to reduce hazards.
When the door is
released from the open position, the spring assembly
will stop and position the door at a partially open
position.
Illumination and Ventilation
2.05
The booth is illuminated by a KS-19207, List
7 light fixture which illuminates the telephone
signs on the front, sides, and rear of the booth.
(See Section 508-820-100.)
2.06
When used outdoors, this booth may be
equipped with a KS-19261, List 1light control.
The light cell is mounted near the top of the right
front column and automatically turns the lamps off
in the daylight and on in the evening. In multiple
installations, a maximum of five booths may be
interconnected and controlled by one light control
mounted in the end booth of the row. See Section
508-825-100 for information on KS-19261, List 1
light control.
2.07
In multiple installations, a KS-19580, List
51 receptacle assembly (Fig. 2) must be used
in conjunction with a KS-19261, List 1 light control
unit as follows:
(a) One recptacle for each multiple installation
where KS-19207, List 3 light and blower
units are used.
(b) One receptacle for each booth where
KS-19207, List 3 light and blower units are
used.
2.08
•When the KS-19580, List 51 receptacle
assembly is required, it must be ordered
separately plus the following associated items:
• (1) B-650837 bracket
• (4) No. 8-32x 3/8-inch Phillips RH self-tapping
screws.t
