Add & Weigh Kitchen Scale
Thank you for purchasing a Taylor® Kitchen Scale. Your Taylor® scale is an example of
superior design and craftsmanship. Please read this instruction manual carefully before
use. Keep these instructions handy for future reference.
Before Weighing
The circular dial has two separate sections, one half is printed with pounds/ounces the
other kilograms/grams.
1. Place the container on the weighing platform and adjust either the pounds or
kilograms scale to zero by simply revolving the dial until the "0" mark is directly in line
with the pointer.
2. Tap the weighing container a few times with your fingertips to "settle" the
mechanism. Re-adjust to zero if necessary.
Note: Any lightweight container may be used, provided that it is placed on the
weighing platform before the dial is set to zero. Equally, large or awkward items such as
meat or a food parcel can be placed directly onto the platform.
To Add and Weigh
Put the first item into the container and read the weight. Rotate the dial until the zero
mark is once again in line with the pointer. Add your next ingredient. The weight shown
will be that of the last ingredient only. Re-zero the dial, and add the next item and so
on.
Note: The weighing container may be removed for mixing purposes at any point during
the add and weigh program, but if water, eggs or any other item is added, the dial
should be re-set to zero when the bowl is replaced on the scale.
