INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

- Always make sure the unit is set to the "OFF" position before inserting the plug into a 120 volt electrical outlet.
- To turn the unit on, simply press the power
button located on the top of the handle. This will start the unit on the lowest setting. To increase the intensity of the massage, press the intensity control button until the desired intensity is reached. To tum the unit off, press the power
button. See Fig. 1 - To turn the heat function on, the massager must be on. To activate the Soothing heat function, press the heat
button located above the intensity button on the top of the handle. To cancel the Soothing heat function, press the heat
button a second time. NOTE: The Soothing heat function works best when the red heat node attachments are used. See Fig. 1
NOTE: Do not use the heat continuously for more than 15 minutes. Do not use the heat if you have sensitive skin, poor circulation, discolored areas, swelling, burned, inflamed or where skin eruptions or sores are present. Heat should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician. - Apply massager head lightly to the area you wish to massage.
- Move the unit slowly, holding on the targeted area. Massage the area for a short period of time and move to another area. Never massage the same spot longer than 3 minutes.

As stated in the "IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS" section of this manual, never use this appliance on or near eyes or other highly sensitive areas.
- Operation of longer than 15 minutes is not recommended and may cause overheating.
- When massage is completed, turn unit off, unplug the power supply, allow to cool and store properly in a dry place.
TO CHANGE ATTACHMENTS
Your massager comes with 4 custom massage head attachments.
To change to a different set, simply twist off (counterclockwise) the set that is on the unit, press in and twist on (clockwise) the desired set.
MAINTENANCE
TO STORE
Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow to cool and dry.
- Store in its box or a clean, dry place.
- To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit.
- Do not hang the unit by the power cord.
- This appliance is designed for household use only.
TO CLEAN
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleansing agent.
- After cleaning, wipe surfaces with a dry cloth.
- Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
- Never use strong abrasives, detergents, or cleansing agents.
- Periodically straighten cord if it becomes twisted.
- Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass, furniture polish, or paint thinner to clean.
- Do not attempt to repair the Percussion Action Massager.
- There are no user-serviceable parts. For service, call the Consumer Relations telephone number listed in the Warranty Section.
Note: there is a 15-minute auto shutoff on the unit for your safety.

- An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use, and before putting on or taking off parts.
- Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.
- Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by HoMedics; specifically any attachments not provided with the unit.
- NEVER operate the appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a HoMedics Service Center for examination and repair.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
- DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

DO NOT operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. - DO NOT carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as a handle.
- To disconnect, turn all controls to the "off" position, then remove plug from outlet.
- DO NOT use outdoors.
- NEVER operate the appliance with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.

Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. Do not use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous. - NEVER operate on a soft surface such as a bed or couch where the air openings may be blocked.
- Keep long hair away from the massager while in use.
- Do not use massager in close proximity to loose clothing or jewelry.

- DO NOT use this product as a substitute for medical attention.
- DO NOT use this product before bed. The massage has a stimulating effect and can delay sleep.
- NEVER use this product while in bed.
- This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user's capacity to operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies in the lower half of their body.
- This unit should not be used by children or invalids without adult supervision.
- NEVER use this product in automobiles.
- This appliance is intended for household use only.
